Alarmers are a game mechanic in Piggy.

Mechanic[]
When players walk near certain characters, like Doggy in Forest, or certain structures on a map, such as the security detectors from Mall, an alarm symbol will be activated above the player's head. This alerts other players, including Piggy, to the player’s location for a few seconds. However, this does not apply to Bots as they simply target the nearest player regardless of the alarm.

- Walking near Doggy in the Forest map.
- Walking through a detector in the Mall map.
- Walking into an Alarm Trap or a Toy Robot Trap placed by an infected.
- Getting touched by the Mouse Trap or a Spider Trap placed by an infected.
- Being spotted by Scry in Build Mode.

- Walking near any of the NPC guards (Kitty, Pandy, etc.) of The Silver Paw in the Refinery map. This will put a sign above the guard's head.
Trivia[]
- There is a bug where the guards in Refinery freeze for the rest of the round after being activated, in which case the alarm sign will stay above their heads for the rest of the round.
- There is a bug where if a player has an alarm sign above their head (from the Mouse Trap) at the same time as the Mouse Trap despawns, it will stay above their head forever.
- This will only be fixed if the player dies, as it will normally carry over to other rounds if they don't.
- The alarm symbol when the infected are detected by the Radar is red instead of white.
