"If this is a map to a cure, we find it together. And if it's just a whole bunch of nonsense ... Well, we do that together, too."
― Badgy, PIGGY: The Cure

Badgy is a tritagonist in Terrance Crawford's PIGGY novels.

Appearance[]

This variant of Badgy looks very similar to his game counterpart, being a white badger with black stripes across his heterochromic eyes, which are red and green. He wears a collared shirt, a red tie, pants, and black shoes. His right arm is green and glows. He wields a green vial as a weapon, which is replaced with a crossbow in later books.

History (INCOMPLETE)[]

Before the Infection[]

Prior to the infection, Badgy worked alongside Billy and Mr. P in an attempt to create a cure for Linnaeoma. Their efforts eventually led to the creation of Substance - 128, thus causing the infection.

PIGGY: Infected[]

Finding Ben[]

When Ben arrives at the Carnival, Badgy is revealed alongside Billy to be members of The Silver Paw. After going to the Mall and finding Ollie, it is also revealed that Badgy has two siblings.

Tracking the Signal[]

Badgy convinces Willow to allow Ben and Ollie into the Silver Paw, stating that they have proven worthy of joining. After Willow reveals a helicopter signal she received, Badgy, Billy, and Ben go to the laboratory in which the signal originated from. However, Ollie had secretly come with them, and accidentally attracted a crowd of infected. Badgy tells Ben to take Ollie into the laboratory, leaving him and Billy to fight the infected.

PIGGY: The Cure[]

The Laboratory[]

Badgy and Billy run into the Laboratory and fight off infected. Billy makes a hole in the wall, which Ollie grabs a metal bar from. Ben claims they found a list of ingredients on how to make a cure, so the team leave the Laboratory to go to the School, when Willow calls on a walkie talkie, asking for answers, though Ben can not give any right now.

Mission to the School[]

Badgy, Billy, Ben and Ollie go to the School to get a few chemicals listed. When they awake the infected, Badgy and Billy fight off the infected while Ben and Ollie grab beakers and vials with the chemicals they need. They leave the School when Willow calls over the walkie-talkie and asks for answers. Billy blurts out what they were doing, so Willow asks them to return as this is now a mission for the Silver Paw. The group persuades her that they can do it, and she asks what the next thing they need is. They see drawings of apples all over the notes and get confused, when Billy sees what he believes to be a name, "Amy G. Dallin". Willow realizes it is Amygdalin and tells them, how it can be found in fruits. The group decides to go to the metro to get some apples from the store.

Differences/Parallels (Novel to Game)[]

Badgy in the novels displays a heavily changed story than from the main game.

  • In the novel, Badgy's entire character has changed from being an infected in Plant, to a survivor in the City.
  • Badgy in the novel has younger siblings. It is uncertain if this carries on into the main game.
  • Badgy is a member of The Silver Paw in the novel, however he is seen as a scientist in the Plant chapter of the game.
    • In the game, there is no evidence that Badgy knows Billy at all. This connection might have been made because of the fact that Badgy and Billy skins were both added into the game when Plant was released.
    • Badgy worked with Mr. P, like his in-game counterpart.

Trivia[]

  • In PIGGY: The Cure, Badgy is accidentally misspelled as "Baggy" at one point in the book.
  • In PIGGY: The Entity, Ben says he's never seen Badgy in a short-sleeved shirt despite every illustration of Badgy within the series depicting him in a short-sleeved shirt.
