Beary is a skin in Piggy. He and Skelly were added alongside the Hospital - Chapter 6 update, with Beary serving as the bot and main antagonist of that chapter. He was one of the doctors/researchers who assisted Mr. P with the development of the cure for the Linnaeoma disease.
Beary (Green) is his only alternate skin, and it can be obtained through completing the Daily Skin Quests.
Appearance[]
Beary is a brown bear with round ears, a light brown snout, and a black nose. He wears a bright blue shirt layered with a lab coat, along with storm blue pants. He dons tilted black glasses. His eyes have black sclerae, with his left eye containing a light red pupil. His weapon is a large sword resembling a falchion.
This variant of Beary appears the same as his base counterpart, except his shirt and pants are green. The shirt is a lighter shade than the pants.
Beary's old design was similar to the original with the only differences being the absence of a lab coat and tan cheeks.
History[]
Pre-Infection[]
Beary was a brown bear who worked as a doctor in a hospital. He was one of Mr. P's researchers who assisted in the development of a cure, codenamed Substance - 128, for the Linnaeoma disease in an effort to save Mr. P's wife, Mrs. P. This suggests that he may have worked alongside Bunny, Sheepy, and Badgy.
Infection[]
Much later, after the hospital was raided, Beary became infected, resulting in chaos throughout the facility and forcing most of its occupants to flee. Beary encountered Bunny and Player, but failed to infect them.
In Holiday Spirit, Beary is shown to be infected as The Silver Paw is raiding the Hospital and gets shot by Willow, which presumably takes place before Forest - Chapter 4, as they must've stolen the bottle of Substance - 128 prior as shown in Heist. This seems to create a plot hole as Beary is implied to become infected while the Player is unconscious in the Hospital in the Player's Journal.
Animations[]
Idle[]
Stands still while left hand holds blade of the falchion, and right arm holds the handle of the falchion.
Walking[]
Same as idle, but legs shift in walking motion.
Jumpscare[]
Stands upright and moves armed hand back, then jabs it forward at the player.
Stunned[]
Looks down and puts arms down, with occasional head twitching (overlays the current animation).
Trivia[]
- Beary is the first primary bot and second bot to not have the long dress body type.
- He is one of the few bear skins in the game, followed by Pandy, Poley, Ghosty, and Baren.
- Unlike Piggy and Sheepy, he uses a different shade of red for his pupil. This is also the case for Kitty, Daisy, Dakoda and Shardantus.
- When zooming into his glasses, they are visibly clipping through both his head and right eye.
- When his redesign was first released, his theme could be heard when he appeared in his respective scene in the Piggy: Book 1 Credits.
- In the Piggy: Book 1 credits, Beary is seen taking a book from a bookshelf in the hospital.
- He is the first skin to have a styled weapon, with it being a European falchion, followed by Budgey with a Caribbean hook, and Dessa with a Okinawan Bo staff.
- He is the first skin to have a medical profession, followed by Katie and Crove (Alternate).
- Coincidentally, both Beary and Katie wears glasses and were released with Chapter 6 of their respective books.
- He is among the few skins to wear eyewear, and along with Kona, are the only ones to have their eyewear askew.

- Beary is indirectly mentioned in the Player's journal, where it's noted that "A doctor was infected and caused severe panic."
- Beary shares his idle/walking animations with many older skins.
- Beary's weapon was originally intended to be a giant needle, but was scrapped due to Roblox not allowing needles.[2]
- His soundtrack is composed by Gregor F Narholz, who composed multiple soundtracks for the TV show SpongeBob SquarePants, and original music for its 2004 movie.
- The Viewport Frame for his green variant is on top of the arrow used to switch between skins.
- It currently is unknown why Katie flees from Beary in the Holiday Spirit chapter, when he got infected much later after The Silver Paw formed, this might be a narrative oversight.
- It is likely that Beary used his weapon to defend himself against the infected patients which is probably the reason as to why there aren't any patients in the Hospital. When he became an infected, he likely killed all the medical personnel except Katie because she was running away from him which caused Beary to get shot in the head by Willow but miraculously survived due to the effects of the Infection and lived to be the bot for the Hospital chapter.

Sound origins[]
- His soundtrack is an audio from the Roblox Library Audio named Birthplace Of Horror, but slowed down by 0.7 and higher pitched.
- His jumpscare sound is called Tank Yell_02 from Left 4 Dead 2, but lower pitched and slowed down.
- His hit sound is an called Sword Stab.
- The sound he makes on Holiday Spirit’s cutscene is similar to the sounds produced by the Decaying Infected.
