The Black Hole Traps are a type of trap in Piggy. Alongside Robby and Mimi skins, they were added when Mall - Chapter 10 was released.

Appearance

The Black Hole Trap is a rusty black and brown trap that is a remodel of the Default Trap. Like the Default Trap, it is meant to resemble a bear trap.

Mechanics

These traps will pull you in when nearing them, therefore slowing you down so that the Piggy has a chance to capture you, like a Black hole. If you jump, it pulls you in with more force. This trap's stun timer doesn't start until the trap is stepped on. It is also the same size as the Small Trap.

Trivia

• Before the Black Hole Trap quantity was changed to 4, you originally would only receive 2.
• This trap's stun time used to be 5 seconds but was then changed to 4.5 seconds.
• Because of its magnetic properties, this trap is useful for killing players that are in places that you can't reach as Piggy (e.g. vents and glitch spots). Because of this, it is very useful for killing campers and glitchers.
• It's recommended to jump and then put the Black Hole Trap in a door, making the Black Hole Trap impossible to avoid. This can also be done with the Big Trap and the Inflatable Trap.
• The pull area is just the same size as the Big Trap.
• This trap is the same size as the Small Trap, although, functions much differently.
• This trap, when placed in specific spots, can actually blend in to its surroundings, making it harder for players to spot it (ex. inside a Soldier hole, on the large rug by the exit in House.)
• This is one of the only traps to have an effect on survivors who haven't stepped on the trap themselves. The others being Snowpiggy Trap, Inflatable Trap, Tombstone Trap and Crawling Trap.
• This is one of the only traps that have an effect on multiple survivors. The others being Snowpiggy Trap, Mouse Trap, and Inflatable Trap.
• If you escape while being pulled by a Black Hole Trap at the same time, your position in the escape cutscene will change.

The Tornado Trap is a limited alternate trap skin obtained through Season 4 - Expectant Exploration. To equip it, you must go to the items section and then go to the Black Hole Trap shop icon, then you have to click on the black button that has an arrow pointing right and then equip it.

Appearance

The trap is shaped in a spiral, like an actual tornado. The bottom part of the trap is black, while the top part of the trap is dark gray.

Trivia

• When first purchased, the equip text on the Traps shop would appear pink instead of blue. Unequipping and equipping it fixes this and it doesn’t happen afterwards.
