Blatt is a skin in Piggy. It was added as part of Time as the main antagonist of the second phase. The skin was released 3 days after the event's release.

Appearance

Blatt is a short, pitch black, bat-like creature with tiny legs and giant arms that it uses to walk. Similarly to Umbra, Sentinel and Ombra, it has white parts of its body that glow. Its body is thick around the chest then narrows further down and has white glowing highlights resembling gaps in ribs. Its arms are of regular width near the shoulders before becoming much wider. It has a short snout with two tiny white nostrils. Its mouth is wide open with strands of goop-like substance on the sides. Its mouth is glowing white and is capable of extending down below its chest. Its ears are large with white interiors. It has no eyes. Its wings are extremely small and sprout from its back with white membrane. It has a scrawny dark gray tail with a white tip.

Bot Mechanics

Blatt is blind and cannot detect players on its own. It will follow a set path around the map and cannot spot players in this state, though it can still kill them if it touches them. However, if Scry spots a player, Blatt's speed drastically increases and it will pursue the spotted player until that player is dead, loses interest due to them being too far away, or Scry loses track of them.

Animations

Idle

Keeps itself lifted above ground using hands, with feet dangling down and wings subtly moving. Taps fingers of left hand on ground, randomly extends mouth down and occasionally does a head motion of looking around.

Walking

Uses arms as legs to move forward with body swaying and bottom jaw moving up and down.

Jumpscare

Hits the player down with the palm of both of their hands, then wildly whips their head back and screams loudly, presumably killing the victim by bursting their eardrums.

Obtainability

Blatt is obtained in the Time chapter by escaping, which is done by opening the safe in the second phase of the chapter using the codes from the elevators.

Trivia

• Blatt is the first skin obtained from a full Roblox hunt event.
• Blatt shares similarities with Umbra, Sentinel and Ombra. As they are connected to The Insolence, Blatt is likely to be.
  • Coincidentally, all of these characters don't have a stunned animation. This was likely not intentional, though.
  • Blatt and ??? share similarities of being pitch black Insolence skins with white highlights, who use their arms to move. This could possibly be an intentional nod, but it's unclear.
• Blatt is the third bat skin in the game, the first being Bakari and the second being Bela.
  • Coincidentally, all are event skins.
    • Blatt is the only one that isn't a Halloween event skin.
  • Blatt is also the only one who does not fly/levitate.
• Blatt is one of the few skins that change the camera angle in their jumpscare.
• Despite their appearance, they actually use the R6 rig rather than the R15 one.
• Blatt is one of the quest skins you can obtain for escaping a map, the others being Duocara, Eelektra, Frostiggy, Ombra, Mr. P, Decaying Infected, ???, Sam, Mrs. P, Centrell, The Chained, and PIGGY.EXE.
• Blatt, The Prototype, Duocara, and Duocara (Mayor) are the only skins with no eyes.
• They have no emote animations, similarly to Sentinel and Krampiggy. This is due to their rig using different parts than the ones used for emotes. Despite this however, their mouth and tail are still moving a bit when emoting.
• They are the second of two skins to be solely made by Axel_Glow, the first being Meisery.
• Blatt’s glowing parts do not appear behind glass; this is because they're set to 0.1 transparency, and transparent parts aren't visible behind glass.
• In the files, Blatt is referred to as "FastCreature".
  • It is likely called this due to Blatt's drastic increase in speed whenever Scry spots a player.
• Since June 6th, 2024, Blatt is obtainable again since Time was added back into the game.

Bugs

• Blatt was unusable in Book 2 for a few hours after release. It wasn't in the Shop and if it was equipped in Book 1 and then used in Book 2, it would spawn in as Piggy instead.
  • The reason this happened was that MiniToon forgot to add the skin to Book 2 upon release. A similar bug happened with Kona and Build Mode upon release.
  • This broke Infection, because if the player using Blatt was infected, then their screen would turn black forever, and the Piggy who infected them would be unable to move.
• Blatt's theme didn't play until it killed a player. This also happened with Billy's old design, Kolie, and The Prototype.
• There was a bug where Blatt could jump higher before it got fixed in the 4/19/24 update. The same goes for ??? before it got fixed in the 6/16/24 update.
• There's a chance when you are infected as Blatt, you will fall out of the map, similarly to Mr. P, until a few days after the release of the Hidden Ending.
• Blatt is unable to jump if there is a ceiling about 2-3 Build Mode blocks above them, like the kitchen in House.
• Interestingly as a skin, their hit sound is slightly delayed in comparison to their bot counterpart.

• Its jumpscare is an audio called Creature Vocal Spider Screech Low To Midrang.
• Its hit sound is an audio called Proto Couture (d).
• Its footstep sound is an audio called Body Hit 6.
