"How'd you end up in the carnival? I heard you were looking for Mr. P."
― Zizzy
City is the ninth chapter in Piggy: Book 1. It was released on April 10th, 2020. It introduces the Player to new items like the dynamite for the cracked door and the fire extinguisher. It has 20 items in total (not including gun ammo). Similarly to the previous chapter, city has two bots, with main one being Elly and the secondary one being Grandmother. The skins added along with this chapter are Grandmother, Elly and Zizzy. Egg traps were also added along with this chapter. Similarly to Bunny in School and Hospital, Zizzy is a friendly NPC capable of stunning Piggy for 20 seconds, though requiring grass. Seven days after the release of this chapter, Giraffy and Devil skins were added, along with a new gamemode called Traitor, to celebrate 1 billion total visits of Piggy.
Storyline[]
After the events of Chapter 8, Zizzy, Pony, and the Player are standing on a rooftop of one of the buildings in a city and are looking at the safe place from above. However, the gate to the safe place is blocked and on fire, and they have to venture through the abandoned city to unlock the gate. While doing so, they encounter an infected duo, Elly and Grandmother. After finally escaping, the three have a chat. The Player tells them that they were a police officer looking for Georgie Piggy, and Pony tells them that he was trying to be an optometrist like his father, and Zizzy explains that she was a fencing coach and that she taught her little sisters too. The Player then mentions that Mr. P has been giving out potions that turn you into the infected and that they are trying to stop him. Zizzy suggests that they can help, and that the Player can stay with them. They are then interrupted by a noise coming from a nearby dumpster, and the Player and Zizzy decide to go to find out who was watching them. Pony wishes them good luck and stays behind.
Appearance[]
There are multiple buildings (2 are accessible, they are an abandoned hotel and an abandoned business named Elly Enterprises owned by Elly), a small shop named Grandma Piggy's Poutine, a gate that leads to The Safe Place, rusted cars, and streets.
Transcript[]
Anonymous User: "Let's find a way to get in!"
Zizzy: "So, Anonymous User... What were you doing before all of this?"
Anonymous User: "I was a police officer looking for someone. What about you two?"
Pony: "I was trying to become an optometrist like my father."
Zizzy: "And I was a fencing coach. I even taught my little sisters."
Zizzy: "I'm so relieved that they're safe here with me."
Pony: "Yeah..."
Zizzy: "How'd you end up in the carnival? I heard you were looking for Mr. P."
Anonymous User: "Mr. P's been giving out potions... they turn you into the infected."
Anonymous User: "I need to stop him from doing this."
Zizzy: "You should at least stay here for a little. We can help you find him."
(Rustling is heard, followed by the camera turning to the left to see a silhouette ducking behind a dumpster.)
Pony: "W-What was that?"
Anonymous User: "I think someone's watching us... I'll go check it out."
Zizzy: "I'm coming with you."
Pony: "Stay safe..."Easter Eggs[]
- If you look at one of the windows of the border buildings when you are the rooftop, you can make out a silhouette of Mrs. P.
- This could be hinting to a note where someone says, "She broke out, she’s somewhere, we need to find her and gather support."
- With the addition of the Mrs. P Note Quest, we got to see inside her window.
Notes[]
- "We need to start recruiting soon. I'll start with my closest friends. -T.S.P."
- "News of a cure has been going around, funded by Mr. P. Let's hope all goes well."
- "They've got what we want at the hospital. We get what we need, then we leave. -T.S.P."
- "Poor George... He disappeared when my family acted up. I hope he's safe..."
- "After years of nagging I have gave into their cries for help. Without their CEO they have gone underground and need a revival, and I am the man to do it. I got my fair share and will not be associated, hopefully that is enough.
"We've brought safety to the city, but every day more and more people outside gather and try to push in. I hope the military does something about this."

Trivia[]
- This is the third map to have a secondary bot, that being Grandmother. Due to her being slow, this gives the illusion that Elly is faster than the other bots in the game, even though she has the same speed as a normal Piggy bot.
- If the Grandmother bot is stunned via the gun or Zizzy, she will move at the speed of a normal bot once waking up. She will only slow down again if she kills someone, is stunned again or if a door is closed on her.
- This map was teased by MiniToon on Twitter as a "Car Emoji". At first, people thought it would be a car park, but others thought it was a reference to Doggy's red car, leading to them thinking he would be returning in this chapter.
- This was then revealed to be a reference to the scattered cars around the map.
- This is the first chapter in which the carrot is required to complete the chapter rather than being used against Piggy.
- This also makes it the first stunning item to be so.
- This is the first playable map not to have the White Key.
- When Player + Bot is chosen, a picture of Mrs. P will be under the purple car near the Piggy Spawn. If you complete the chapter with that picture in your inventory, you completed the first step of the True Ending. You need to have all book 1 badges (except for the True Ending badge) in order for this to happen.
- It is possible to get the bots stuck by placing the plank. Get Elly or Grandmother to follow you, cross over to the roof of Elly Enterprises, wait until Elly or Grandmother crosses over too, and go back onto the roof of the hotel. Elly or Grandmother will get stuck at the base of the plank on the factory side.
- Note that they could fall from the rooftop or in some cases not get stuck.
- This is the first map where you need an NPC to complete the map, with the second being Plant, and the rest being all the Book 2 maps excluding Alleys, Port, Ship, Docks, and Camp.
- It is one of three maps with the wrench being used only once, with the others being Metro, Ship, and Lab (unless you're doing the Hidden Ending).
- There was a glitch where in the railing of the stairs in the hotel, if you looked down in first person and move backwards, you'd float and the bots or players couldn't get you. This glitch used to work in House, Station, Gallery, Metro, and Outpost as well.
- This along with House and Plant are the only Chapters that came out with more than two skins (not counting if a skin releases a few days after the update).
- The end cutscene was bugged and couldn't be seen as only camera movements, dialogue, and some models and objects that are not affected by gravity would appear. The map and characters would not be seen.
- The same bug also happened to Plant and Lab.
- 13M people own the “Completed City” badge as of February 2nd, 2025.
- The Bittersweet note in this chapter reveals Mr. P could have replaced Musdon as the CEO of Protection Services Through Mechanics & Machines, as the note mentions him reviving a company. Tied with the fact that Mr. P upgraded himself in Plant, it is possible he has somewhat of a connection in the company.
