Dakoda is a skin in Piggy: Book 2. They were added into the game when Port - Chapter 7 was released alongside Kraxicorde. They are also the bot and main antagonist of that chapter.
Dakoda (Red) is their only alternate skin, and it can be obtained through completing the Daily Skin Quests.
Appearance[]
Dakoda is a gray dolphin/dugong with a tail and the area below their eyes are colored light gray. They wears a golden diver's helmet with a gray metal collar, a grille window, two gray ear pieces, and a tube on top. A light red pupil can also be seen through the hole in Dakoda's helmet as well as having black sclera. Dakoda wears a cream-colored suit accompanied by a black belt with matching suspenders forming an "X", and a gray tail sticking out on the back. Dakoda has black gloves and boots, the same color as the black suspenders. They also wields a dark gray anchor, holding it with both hands. There is a cadet blue oxygen tank on Dakoda's back which consists of navy lines, a black line between it and a gray lid on it, and their boots are full of dark green seaweed. Finally, Dakoda's face has a scratch behind the helmet.
Identical to the original, with a red tint on their diving suit to give it a more pinkish looking color. Their pupil is also now yellow. The helmet has also been desaturated to a darker shade.
Animations[]
Idle[]
Stands upright bending the body and with arms forwards, bending their left arm, while looking sideways every few seconds, tilting his body while holding the anchor in both hands. Their legs are spread out and are twisted to the sides.
Walking[]
Similar to idle animation but they walk sideways, moving in an up and down motion, seemingly limping, occasionally moving the right leg backwards and lifting it. They also bob his right arm up and down.
Jumpscare[]
Tilt their body, facing their left side, then swing anchor at you from right to left in a looped up and down motion with left leg in front.
Stunned[]
Looks up and puts arms down, with occasional head twitching (overlays the current animation).
Hints[]
Someone asked MiniToon if he could give any hints for the Book 2 Chapter 7 bot and skin, and he replied with ⚓.
Trivia[]
- It is hinted that Dakoda is the owner of the lighthouse in Port as there is a diary, in which it's cover is the same color as Dakoda’s suit, and that they happens to spawn nearby it. However, this isn’t confirmed.
- At the time of release, Dakoda was the tallest skin, surpassing Alfis. They were later outclassed by ??? and was the second tallest skin in the game until the release of Gryffyn.
- Despite this, they are currently the second tallest Book 2 skin in the game, only beaten by ??? as well as the second tallest skin in the game to be modelled by MiniToon, only beaten by Gryffyn.
- When zooming into their head, you can see it slightly overlaps with their helmet.
- When Dakoda was first released as a playable skin, they would use the walking animation the whole time, even when idle. The only way to play the idle animation was to jump in place. This was fixed a few days later.
- Many people thought that Dakoda was a dolphin or a shark, but MiniToon later confirmed that they are a dugong.
- Dakoda is the third character to have a sound effect as the theme, as he breathes heavily, with the first and second being Doggy and Officer Doggy, both being Eerie Wind Constant (formerly Scary Ambience), and Piggy (Distorted) with triple breath hit and faint scream.
- On top of that, Dakoda and Doggy, along with Centrell, are the only skins with soundtracks uploaded by Pro Sound Effects.
- Dakoda is the first skin that received an emoji hint, with the second being Archie, the third being Anteo and the fourth being Duocara.
- They are the second skin to limp in their walk animation with the first being Soldier and the third being Markus.
- Unlike skins like Piggy and Sheepy, they uses a different shade of red for their pupil. This is also the case for Kitty, Daisy, Beary and Shardantus.
- When Port released, if you would have stunned Dakoda as a bot, it would say 'Piggy is gone for 20 seconds'. However, it changed when Ship was released to instead display 'Dakoda will be back in 20 seconds'.
- Dakoda's diver helmet can be found in the Roblox Catalog.[1]
- Dakoda is one of the few skins to only have the pitch of their soundtrack changed, the others being Badgy, Budgey, Archie, Spidella, ???, Shardantus and Jakayla.
- Dakoda's tail is a recolored version of the Shark Tail item from the Roblox Catalog with the textures removed.[2]
- Dakoda is one of many skins who don't have animal sounds for the jumpscare.
- This is the second skin to have a tank on their back, with the first one being Torcher, the third one being Tobi, the fourth one being Marley Russell, the fifth one being Glenn, and the sixth one being Centrell.
- Dakoda, Officer Doggy, Felix, Katie, Kraxicorde, Piggy (Distorted), Silzous, and ??? are the only skins in Piggy: Book 2 to have soundtracks not composed by BSlick.
- As a player, Dakoda's footsteps are the quietest out of all skins in the game.
- The Dakoda skin has a completely different footstep sound than the bot variant.
- Dakoda looks upwards when he is stunned. The same thing happens with Raze, Alfis, Mari, Rash, Archie, Kona, and Tobi.
- There is a glitch where after the Dakoda bot spawns, their theme plays before their find a player. If Dakoda finds a player then loses them, then the bug is fixed. This does not happen in Build Mode.
- Due to their large height, they can have some trouble fitting through some places.
- In a MiniMoon video, MiniToon said that Dakoda could be female after Moonfallx referred to them as a male.[3]
