Dessa is a skin in Piggy and character in Piggy: Book 2. She was released with the Store chapter, alongside Pandy (Uniform). She was a cashier at a Shopping Center outside of Metro Station before she presumably subsequently became infected while at work. She’s also the canonical bot for Store.

She is a light brown deer with a matching colored snout, an oval shaped nose and hexagonal ears with pink insides. She wears a teal dress with cyan leggings and has brown cheeks. She has a yellow pupil on her left eye, with black sclera in both eyes and her antlers are whitish-yellow. She clutches a Bo Staff in her right hand as her weapon.

She resembles her current infected appearance but with regular white eyes with black pupils and no weapon.
Piggy: Hunt[]
She looks the same as her current design in the base game, with the exception that she wears blue shoes.
History[]
Early Life[]
Dessa was a deer that lived in Evalia and worked as a cashier at a local shopping center inside the Metro System, she later subsequently became infected while working there.
Attacking the Player[]
Months after the infection, Pony and Zizzy prepare for a supply run at the store. Their mission is to retrieve batteries for Mimi's old radio. Pony asks the Player, who's day-dreaming about an arrest that they did, if they want to come with him and Zizzy. The Player snaps out of it, and agrees on going. Pony, Zizzy, the Player arrives at the store, and they encounter Dessa. Pony runs over to a heavy bookshelf, and tells the Player that if they give him a carrot, then he will have enough energy to move the shelf. Eventually, the Player brings Pony the carrot, and Pony moves the shelf with ease. When the Player hands the batteries to Zizzy, she announces that they'd be leaving now. Pony meets back up with them, and the trio leave the store back to the Safe Place. It is unknown what became of Dessa currently.

Idle[]
Stands completely still, with legs spread out and body bobbing up and down a little bit. Armed hand and left leg behind back while unarmed hand and right leg forward.
Walking[]
Similar to her idle animation, but with legs in a walking animation as she sways her arms.
Jumpscare[]
Spins the staff around behind her as she positioned right leg behind her, then holds staff with both hands, hitting the victim with it while she positioned her right leg forwards.
Stunned[]
Looks down and puts arms down, with occasional head twitching (overlays the current animation).

- Her weapon can be found in the Roblox Catalog.[1]
- Dessa has been confirmed to be a transgender woman, making her the first skin and Character to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community.[2]
- Dessa is the first infected to appear in Book 2 (Alleys takes place before the infection).
- Dessa is one of the few characters to appear in the 2021 Bloxy Awards Ceremony.
- She, Reindessa and Markus are the only skins to have antlers as well as the only skins to be in the Cervidae family.
- Dessa shares her hit sound with Daisy.
- Dessa among many older skins still uses the glass texture for their head.
- A skin based on Dessa was introduced with the Winter Holiday update named Reindessa which looks similar to the regular Dessa skin. They both have the same animations, jumpscare sound and hit sound too, though the theme is different.
- Dessa is the only skin introduced in Book 2 to have a skin based off after her, being the aforementioned Reindessa.
- For pride month, the Piggy Discord server had its icon changed to an illustration of Dessa with the word Piggy in rainbow font.
- The artist, as confirmed in the announcements channel, is the moderator Quicksilver/Elegant Atrocity, the person who suggested Foxy's redesign.
- She and Pandy (Uniform) are tied for the third skin to have a traditional weapon, with Dessa's being an Okinawan Bo Staff. The first is Beary with a European Falchion, and the second is Budgey with a Caribbean Hook.
- Dessa shares her walking animation with Moonie and Reindessa.
- Dessa’s Piggy: Hunt description inaccurately referred to her antlers as ‘horns’.
- The Dessa bot had a glitch where she only chased players but wouldn't kill them. This sometimes happened when she was stunned, just like some other chapters with helpful bots like Alleys, and Outpost.
- There was also another glitch with her. When you stunned her with Zizzy, she would do her stun animation. However, she still chased and could kill you while not doing the walking animation.
- It is unknown why Dessa doesn’t attack Pony and Zizzy throughout the chapter, though this could be for gameplay reasons.
- It is unknown if Dessa was present while The Silver Paw visited the store and if she had any interaction with them.

Sound Origins[]
- Dessa's jumpscare sound is the beginning part of an audio from the Roblox Audio Library called Red Deer by LudicrousCunningFox but higher pitched.
- Dessa's soundtrack is Egregious Encounter (skin version) by BSlick, but slowed down and lower pitched. It is uploaded to Roblox as PonyEgg, though it has nothing to do with the character Pony or his skin counterpart.
- Dessa's hit sound is an audio called melee_cricket_bat_01.
