Distraction is a character-focused chapter in Piggy: Book 2 and the third character-focused chapter in Piggy overall, succeeding Distorted Memory and Heist. It focuses on Zizzy, who the player controls, and what happened after she was freed from her cell by the Player and Pony. It is a distorted version of the Refinery and introduces new items like the pipe and obstacles like the Sentinels, who work as secondary bots for the chapter. Twins are the main bot of this chapter and the only skin that was added with it.
Appearance[]
Distraction is a distorted version of the Refinery but it has more locations you can go to like behind one of the locked cell door in Refinery. The lighting has a mix of pink, red, and purple. Some differences is that the hanging lights have different colors and there are some black material spreading everywhere around the rooms. There is also a big hole in the cafeteria. There is an oil supply room with three oil canisters and behind that is a maze with the same black substance.
Storyline[]
After Zizzy is left alone, she is tempted to sabotage and cause a distraction at The Silver Paw's Refinery in order to help the Player and Pony escape successfully. While doing that, she starts getting hallucinations and the Refinery turns distorted, including strange creatures and hallucinations of her sisters, Zee and Zuzy, infected and chasing her.
After planting three dynamites and blowing up the entire Refinery, Zizzy escapes, but then meets TIO. TIO tries convincing Zizzy to join him since she is a strong and resilient warrior. When questioned why she should join him, TIO starts talking about his past, and how he used to be a normal person in the world. He was quiet and lonely, with no one to talk to and therefore, made himself a friend. The one from beyond. They were great friends, until their friendship became too great, and TIO became just like his friend in many ways, and his friend wasn't too happy about that. His friend soon made that very clear to him, and when TIO's time ended in the world, his time in his realm began.
TIO exclaims how it's quite surprising to see what can come of a quiet and young child, and compares himself to Zee. Zizzy starts to get angry, but TIO says that Zee will never speak a word in her life, and is mute forever. In an effort to convince Zizzy to join him, TIO lets her see Pony.
At first, Zizzy isn't convinced that Pony was real. Pony exclaims how he misses Zizzy and promises to get her back. Despite being convinced that she's not talking with the real Pony, Zizzy apologizes for wanting to meet T.S.P., explaining that she hasn't seen any other survivors in months and was desperate. Pony then says he doesn't mind not seeing other faces again, as long as the face he gets to see is hers. Zizzy is surprised to learn that, and Pony also reveals that her picture is what kept them going the whole time, and that he's determined to reunite with her. Zizzy then mentions TIO, and how he's awful for playing such tricks on her. Pony is surprised to know that Zizzy met TIO, and asks if she met him before, but fades away before Zizzy can answer.
TIO appears in his place, reaching his hand out to her. Zizzy moves forward to accept TIO's offer but is then abruptly dragged into a portal behind her by a mysterious black arm.
Transcript[]
Zizzy: It's just a scratch, Zizzy... get a hold of yourself.
Zizzy: A distraction. You need to make a distraction so Anonymous User and Pony can escape.
Zizzy: What could cause a big distraction in a place like this?
(Zizzy unlocking the Exit Door)
Zizzy: Well, looks like this is sorted out! Now, time to get outside.
Zizzy: This should do the trick. Now I've got to get out of here.
TIO: Greetings, Zizzy.
Zizzy: Huh? What's going on?
TIO: It is a pleasure to meet you. I've noticed your predicament, and would like to help you out.
Zizzy: Why me? Why would you like to help me?
TIO: You are a strong, resilient and talented warrior. There is much you can do for me in return.
Zizzy: With all due respect mystery man, I'm not looking to make any deals right now.
TIO: You know Zizzy... I was once living in your world. I was young and quiet...
TIO: I felt alone often, so I made myself a friend. One from beyond.
TIO: We were great friends. Perhaps... too great.
TIO: I started to become just like him in more ways than you could imagine. He wasn't too happy about that.
TIO: He made that clear... very clear to the world.
TIO: When my time ended there, my time here began.
TIO: Look at me now! I'm more than I ever once was.
TIO: Isn't it surprising to see what can come of a quiet young child?
TIO: I sometimes wonder... if she'll end up the same.
Zizzy: Don't even mention her. She's nothing like you.
TIO: She has never spoken a word, Zizzy. And she never will.
Zizzy: What do you want from me? To hurt me?
TIO: No, I want you to join me. A skilled fighter like yourself could do incredible things.
Zizzy: You really think I'd join someone like you?
TIO: Me? Perhaps not. But, your friends...
(TIO disappears and Pony appears)
Zizzy: Pony? Is that you...?
Pony: Zizzy...?
Zizzy: This... isn't real. You're an illusion, Pony.
Pony: What are you talking about? Where are we?
Zizzy: I don't know, but I'm gonna find my way out!
Pony: Zizzy... we miss you. We're gonna get you back, I promise.
Zizzy: Pony... Although I know this isn't the real you. I want you to know that I'm sorry.
Pony: What do you mean?
Zizzy: I'm sorry for wanting to go meet the group.
Zizzy: It's been so long since we've seen other survivors, I just couldn't live with the fact that we'd never seen any others again.
Pony: To tell you the truth, I wouldn't mind not being able to see any more faces again... as long as the only face I get to see is yours.
Zizzy: You don't mean that...
Pony: Of course I do! Your photo is what kept me going, Zizzy. Both before this infection, and after.
Pony: I won't stop until I see you again, no matter what it takes.
Zizzy: That strange masked thing is an awful being to be playing such tricks on me.
Pony: You've seen him, too...?
(Pony Disappears)
Zizzy: Huh?

- Blue Key: In the orange key room.
- Candle: In the red key room.
- x3 Dynamite: In the green key room, on the top right side of the maze, and in the kitchen.
- Green Key: In the Yellow Safe.
- Orange Key: Under the stairs closest to where the player spawns, in the bedroom that isn't locked, under a staircase that has a red Sentinel near it, or in the room in between the cafeteria and the exits.
- Pipe: Near the bedroom that isn't locked up, under a staircase that has a red Sentinel near it, in the orange key room, or the room in between the cafeteria and the exits.
- Purple Key: Behind where you place the dynamites, near the entrance to the maze that doesn't have a Sentinel in the wall, or the blue key room.
- Red Key: In the room across from where the player spawns, in between the exit doors, or near the room that has the purple safe in it.
- Screwdriver: In the Purple Safe.
- Yellow Key: Near the entrance to the maze that doesn't have a Sentinel in the wall, in the kitchen, on a seat in the cafeteria, or a different seat in the cafeteria.
- Blue Lock Door: Where the red door is in the Refinery.
- x2 Cobwebs: Next to Zizzy cells, upstairs the side.
- x3 Dynamite Spots: Inside the Cobwebs.
- Green Lock Door: On the upper floor of the building the exit is near the stairs.
- Orange Lock Door: Used to open the room opposite of the oil storage room.
- Purple Safe: Inside of the radio room.
- Red Lock Door: At one of the bedrooms in the room above the spawn.
- Screw Door: In the kitchen, near the Player's spawn.
- Sentinel Event: Upper floor, and maze for 2 Sentinel.
- Yellow Safe: In the maze area.
Only one blueprint spawns on the map each round, it will be found at one of the listed below locations.
- Between the shelves in the room locked by the Green Lock Door.
- Beside one of the beds in the room locked by the Red Lock Door.
- In the black maze, near the entrance from the huge room with gas tanks.
- Piggy Spawn: In front of the door that Primrose was trapped in during the Winter Holiday Hunt.
- Player Spawn: In Zizzy's cell.
- x2 Red Sentinel's Spawn: Between the stairs near the green door, Close to the Maze door.

Trivia[]
- As time goes by, the screen will start turning pale. This probably means that Zizzy is almost infected.
- This could imply that the infected lose color vision as the virus advances, eventually only seeing black and white. This also however could be Zizzy losing mental stability from their distorted view or by the influence of TIO.
- This is the fourth map to not grant a badge upon completion, the first being Distorted Memory, the second being Winter Holiday, the third being Heist, the fifth being Breakout, and the sixth being Mansion.
- In the first leak of the chapter, a message could be seen saying "Where To?" by brightening the image. Similarly, in Distorted Memory, there is this message on a picture, saying, "Where to, Georgie?"
- The pipe used to kill the Sentinel guarding the maze entrance has the same model as Zee's pipe which she used in Sewers. This same pipe is also in Lab with a completely different function.
- This chapter marks the third time the screwdriver has been found in the purple safe, with the first being Factory and second being Ship.
- The orange door is in the same spot as it is in Refinery.
- This is also the case for the green door, blue door, orange door, boarded vent and Exit Door in Distorted Memory and the green and orange doors in Heist.
- This is the third map to have a maze, with first being Winter Holiday, the second being Docks, the fourth one being the Hidden Ending, and the fifth being Breakout.
- The Twins spawn in front of a door with black substance spreading around it. It's also where you could find Primrose in Refinery during the Winter Holiday Hunt.
- Distraction was released on the 1 year anniversary of Book 2.
- Whenever a round ends in Distraction, the screen will go to full grayscale before ending.
- MiniToon said that one could assume that Twins are actually T.S.P. members who Zizzy is hallucinating as her sisters. The reason Zizzy doesn't attack them is because she sees them as her sisters.[1]
- According to MiniToon, Pony and Zizzy's interaction was real.[2]
- MiniToon said that the hand that grabs Zizzy in the ending is actually silhouetted similar to Georgie in City - Chapter 9.
- During the start of the map, Poley is nowhere to be found despite him being knocked out by Zizzy.
