Docks is the ninth chapter of Piggy: Book 2 and the twenty-first chapter overall. This chapter introduces new mechanics such as the candle, interactable NPCs and more. Markus is the canonical bot and antagonist as well as the only skin added alongside the chapter, although the Crawling Trap was also added as a trap that could be obtained through a quest. After some time when this chapter was released, another skin was added, which is Kona.

Appearance

It takes place on the docks of Doveport, with multiple dock rooms, a staircase room, a tomb room, a maze, hallways, a walk-in room, and multiple storage rooms.

The Player and their allies get off of Budgey's ship and down onto the docks. Budgey wishes the team good luck before they part their ways. Willow sees Tigry off in the distance. It is at this point in which the map begins. After finishing the map, the Player walks into a large hallway consisting of 2 bridges held above a large pit. They then see Tigry walking across the other platform, and the Player and Tigry greet each other. Tigry explains how he never actually wanted to harm the Player, and was doing what he was told instead of what he preferred, and the Player proceeds to quote Doggy with the line "sometimes we do things because we have to, not because we want to." Tigry attempts to convince the Player into abandoning Willow, but the Player decides not to trust Tigry, and Tigry leaves, still keeping his offer in chance the Player changed their mind. Pony then arrives, asking what he missed. The Player fills him in, and Pony expresses how he trusts Tigry, but the Player attempts to change that. The entire group is then shown exiting and walking across a large, snowy field with many loud explosions along the ground. The Player is then jumped by a blue-eyed Robby with no chainsaw and falls, but is not attacked. Kona then peers out of a large house in the background and remarks towards the Player before the group goes inside. Kona says hello to the group and meets with Mimi again and they have a friendly moment. Kona then describes how he once studied robotics, but now prefers to study the infected. He encourages them to go through the exit under his home, joking that it's even more dangerous than outside and then says that he's pulling their leg, or so he hopes. He allows the blue-eyed Robby to travel with the group, and gives Mimi a portable radio to use so that they can stay in contact with each other.

He allows them to exit through his lab and jokes that it's probably even more dangerous than outside, and then says that he's pulling their leg, or so he hopes. He tells Robby to keep the group safe while they venture downstairs.

Budgey: "Thanks to you mateys getting the fuel, we managed to dock here. I wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors!"

Willow: "Yeah, well, I don't think 'luck' is going to stop that tiger. Looks like he's already here."

Pony: "Alright, let's find a way to the surface. Whatever's going on up there doesn't sound like fun... I'll go first if you've got a carrot to convince me with!"

Pony: "Anonymous User and I are going to find a way to the surface. The rest of you should stay here."

Pony: "The voices... make them stop! Why me? Why me?!"

Pony: "Get it out of my head... get that thing's whispers out of my head! I can't take it anymore!"

Pony: "What in the world is THAT?! Stay away, Anonymous User!"

Pony: "Ouch... I think... I think I'm gonna rest for a little..."

Pony: "Ah, that hurts. I'll... have to catch up with you later, Anonymous User."

Anonymous User: "Hey, you! Wait!"

Tigry: "..."

Anonymous User: "I've seen you before... what's your name?"

Tigry: "I'm Tigry. I remember your face. Back at the refinery and factory. You stopped Willow and saved the others."

Tigry: "I guess I owe you an apology. Sorry for trying to hunt you. I was just doing what I was told rather than thinking for myself."

Anonymous User: "I'm Anonymous User. I know how you feel. Sometimes we do things because we have to, not because we want to."

Tigry: "So, what are you doing here?"

Anonymous User: "We've heard rumours of a cure, so we're here to find it and save a friend."

Tigry: "She's... she's not here with you, is she?"

Anonymous User: "Who? Willow? She's helping us find it."

Tigry: "Oh no... you're on the wrong side, Anonymous User. She's using you to get to it before me. Isn't it obvious?"

Tigry: "You of all people should know this, She's not the type to change. She's putting up a show for her own selfish reasons."

Anonymous User:" Why do you want the cure so bad?"

Tigry: "To save an old friend of mine. Just like you. If you join me, I'll help get your friend back."

Anonymous User: "I don't know you too well, Tigry. You could be just as dishonest as Willow for all I know."

Tigry: "You yourself know she can't be trusted any more than I can be."

Tigry: "My offer still stands. I'll see you around."

Pony: "Hey, Anonymous User. What'd I miss?"

Anonymous User: "Tigry, the tiger we're after. He's looking for the cure too. For his friend."

Anonymous User: "He offered to help us if we ditch Willow."

Pony: "I'd take that offer in a heartbeat. Think I can catch up?"

Anonymous User: "I still want to give her a chance, Pony. You need to trust her if you want her to trust us."

Pony: "Sigh... I'm only doing it for Zizzy. I can't look at her sisters without thinking of her."

Anonymous User: "None of us can. We're gonna save her, Pony. Let's get the others and bring them to the surface."

Anonymous User: "AAH-"

Kona: "Oy, nothing to be worried about! It's not one with a chainsaw, so consider yourself lucky!"

Kona: "Quick, get inside! It's not safe out here, though you probably already knew that!"

Kona: "Mimi, is that you? My gosh, it's been years! How've you been?"

Mimi: "It's great to see you too! But, well... I don't think any of us have been well, given the circumstances."

Kona: "Yeah, I guess you're right."

Kona: "Oh! Introductions! How could I forget? I am Kona, inventor of The Safety Mall Droid. The one without the chainsaw, that is. "

Kona: "This one here is my personal assistant. His name is Robby."

Zuzy: "He's adorable!!"

Georgie: "You find robots adorable? What's wrong with you?"

Kona: "Now, however, I've found a passion for something far more fascinating than engineering; studying these infected creatures!"

Kona: "No offense to my previous interests, of course, but my goodness these things are so interesting."

Mimi: "Mind filling us in on what's going on?"

Kona: "The military has evacuated everyone further north. A bunch of the infected just suddenly... appeared, so they started bombing the place."

Kona: "Seems like the infected are getting smarter, or something. I think the army is working on a cure. Is that why you're here?"

Mimi: "As much as I'd love to say we came here to visit, that's why we've come."

Georgie: "Wait, why are you here?"

Kona: "You think they're gonna take me away from my research? HA! In their dreams!"

Kona: "I'm gonna be staying here for as long as I can. But, Robby and I may be able to help you out."

Willow: "Yeah? You and that tin can of yours?"

Kona: "You bet! The tin can is probably more capable than you, too. It can't get infected."

Kona: "You can use the exit to my lab downstairs. Robby will accompany you, as it's not too safe."

Kona: "In fact, it's probably even more dangerous than outside! Nah, I'm just pulling your leg. I think."

Kona: "Keep 'em safe, Robby!"

Kona: "Oh, and Mimi, it's great to see you again. There's a portable radio in the lab; take it with you. I'll call you if I hear any news. Good luck!"

Anonymous User: "Hey, you! Wait!"

Tigry: "..."

Anonymous User: "I've seen you before... what's your name?"

(Screen fades to back and changes to the group walking through the snow with explosions happening all around them)

Anonymous User: "AAH-"

Kona: "My name's Kona. I'm an engineer, inventor of the Original Safety Mall Droid, Not the one with the chainsaw.

Kona: "I'll admit, I'm crazy, but not that insane. Whoever came up with that idea is surely missing a few screws in the hea-"

Anonymous User: Why did this one save me?

Kona: "He's got a name ya know! I call him Robby. He's doing what he's programmed to do; help."

Pony: "So, what's going on?"

Kona: "The military has evacuated everyone further north. A bunch of the infected just suddenly...appeared, so they started bombing the place."

Kona: "I think they're working on a cure. Is that why you're here?"

Pony: "That's right."

Georgie: "Wait, why are you here?"

Crawling Trap Quest

For the special Crawling Trap, you meed to play this map, and use the green key, red key, dynamite, and candle. You must have the candle in your inventory and click on 5 Insolence eyes found on the map. Their locations are:

• Near the ship behind one of the benches on the bottom.
• On a side of a bench after you used the dynamite, on the bottom stairs.
• Near the maze where you need to use the candle on a wall.
• In the maze after you use the candle, it's usually close to the right entrance.
• On the right of the bench where dynamite can sometimes spawn, right next to the orange key room.

Once you have clicked all the eyes, a Crawling Trap will start chasing you. Lead the trap to the open coffin with a note that now says "SOON". The coffin should close, the Crawling Trap will disappear, and you will hear the cha-ching sound, meaning that you obtained the trap. You don't need to escape to obtain it, but you do need to rejoin after, or else you won't see it in your inventory.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

If a player gets killed by the Crawling Trap while doing the quest to obtain it, it will de-spawn and you will have to start the quest for it all over again.

Trivia

• The Hidden Ending is started in this map, by escaping this map with Pony not being attacked.
• In an interview, MiniToon stated a few words that hinted the chapter, which were "Land, fire, and under".
  • The word "land" speculates with landing on Doveport. The word "fire" refers to the candles being lit on fire, like with the fire emoji MiniToon hinted. The word "under" refers to the second leak. The picture of the second leak looks like has been taken underground.
  • This was later confirmed that the place was being bombed because of the infected.
• The snowflake emoji refers to the north area seen in the end cutscene, just like with Ship.
• The hammer emoji refers to the hammer item.
• Markus, the bot for this chapter, spawns near the right stairs to where the player spawns.
• People thought the robot emoji referred to Mr. P, such as KreekCraft. However, the robot emoji was for Robby.
• In the third leak of the map, you can see a candle behind a pillar, which was later confirmed to be one of the items in the game.
• In the end cutscene, Tigry mentions "to save a old friend."
  • This friend may possibly be Rash.
• This is the third map where you need a special code to open the exit with the first being Alleys, the second being Ship, the fourth being Temple, the fifth being Camp, and the sixth being Lab.
• There are 5 eyes of Insolence to be found around the map. If clicked with a candle in your inventory, they will disappear. And if you've clicked all 5, the Crawling Trap will appear and will begin to chase you.
  • Leading the creature to the coffin with the note: "SOON" in it will unlock the Crawling Trap.
• This is the first map to have randomly generated parts other than items, with that part being the maze.
  • Distraction is the second map to have a random generated maze and Breakout is the third.
• For an unknown reason, the completion badge for Docks uses a different font on its icon than the other badges.
  • This font was used for all future Book 2 badges onwards.
• The main bot, Markus, can teleport.
  • He is the first bot to do this, and Piggy (Distorted) is the second.
  • He, however, can only teleport short distances and cannot teleport when chasing a player.
    • He can sometimes teleport into the ground and get stuck.
      • The same bug applies for Piggy (Distorted) as well. She can also fall out of the map and die from this.
• This is the second chapter to have Player animations, the first being Winter Holiday.
• This and Factory are the only maps that don't take place at day or night.
  • Factory takes place at sunset, while Docks takes place at sunrise.
• This is the first map to have a Friendly NPC follow the player, with the second being the Temple.
• MiniToon said that the exterior and interior of Docks was based off of a real docking area.
• In the ending, the player used to say "Who are you?" when confronting Tigry. However, this was later changed to "I've seen you before... what's your name?" for unknown reasons.
• 2.5M people own the “Completed Docks” badge as of March 6th, 2025.
