The Effects Event Pack is a bundle of two Build Mode Event blocks that could've been obtained as one of the rewards from Season 6 - Whistling Winter. This is the third "event" pack for Build Mode, following Trap Events Pack from Expectant Exploration and Winter Secrets Event Pack from the same season as this pack.
Package Items + Mechanics[]
This package contains two effect blocks:
- Slow Block: Resembles a snail. When walking on these blocks, your walking speed gets slowed down.
- Slide Block: Resembles a slippery surface sign. When walking on these blocks, the ground is more slippery, making you slide across it.
Obtainability[]
Note: You can't enter the season shop and get the event pack because Season 6 - Whistling Winter is over.
In order to obtain it, you must have reached level 7 in Season 6 and purchase it for 300 Gifts.
Trivia[]
- These blocks were originally planned to be "Heavy Snow Block" (for the Slow Block) and "Ice Block" (for the Slide Block).
- This was changed to be more generic to give people more creativity while using these blocks.
- When the Ombra or Frostiggy bots come in contact with the Slide Blocks, they will have a hard time moving around and be extremely slow.
- This may happen due to the fact that Ombra and Frostiggy slide normally, even when not on Slide Blocks, which makes it even harder for them to walk on Slide Blocks.
- The Grandmother NPC and the second swarm bot stop moving when they touch a slow block.
- This is because their walkspeed is set at 8, so when they touch the block, their speed is set to 0 because the slow block slows NPCs and players down by around 8-9 walk speed.
