Not to be confused with the Energy Bar. |
Energy () is a mechanic in Piggy. It can be spent in exchange of using abilities as survivors and placing traps as Piggy and the traitor. This mechanic was added to the game along with abilities on April 22nd, 2021.
Appearance[]
On the energy bar, energy is pictured as an white irregular heptagon in the shape of a lighting symbol with a black outline. In the shop, its appearance is identical to its on the energy bar, except that it is smaller, green and without its outline.
Mechanics[]
From the start of a round, it will start charging up by 1 energy point every 7.6 seconds until the energy bar hits its cap of 10, where it will stop. It can be spent by players in exchange of helping them out: for survivors, this comes in the form of letting them use abilities. For the infected and the traitor, this comes in the form of letting them place traps.
Trivia[]
- Originally, the Energy bar was on the right side of the screen, and the Crouch button was on the left. This was changed shortly after due to it being harder for mobile players to crouch.
- It takes a total of 76 seconds to fully charge the energy bar.
- A second leak was posted on March 30th, 2021, showing that with 10 energy, you can use a "special energy boost" to boost other players.
- This was later revealed to be the Team Energy Boost ability.
- Abilities on console had a bug where despite abilities and traps having shortcut icons for D-pad buttons (down for lowest, left for middle, up for highest), they were broken. Instead, they had to be manually clicked through the menu select mode to activate. MiniToon unsuccessfully tried fixing this once, then another fix patched this.
