Fergus is a skin in Piggy. He was added into the game as one of the 2022 Custom Skin Contest winners, along with Shardantus, Jakayla, Glenn, and Marley Russell. He was designed by Desert_play5982.

Fergus is a grey hippopotamus with hexagonal ears with pink and light grey insides, a snout with a visible mouth, small white freckles, stiff whiskers and pink nostrils. A portion of the right side of his face is partially blackened as well as black patterning and wires on it. His eyes contain black sclera, and one of the eyes has a dark orange iris. Around his eyes and on the bottom of his head, he has slightly lighter patches of gray on his skin, and he has a singular, small reddish-pink cheek on the left side of their face. as well as light grey dots around his eye marks. He wears a large black cap, with a yellow outline and 2 yellow stripes towards the bottom and a yellow badge-like symbol resembling that of The Capitol with a star and an X in the centre-front of the cap. His cap also has 2 yellow patches resembling wings below the stripes. His right ear is also chipped and he also has eyebrows, his left eyebrow being chipped. Fergus additionally wears a dark navy-gray camouflage coat with grey outlines that goes down to the middle of his legs, with bright yellow stripes on his arm areas and a yellow patch resembling a wing on one side near his upper chest area. His jacket also has white fluff areas at the neck and end of the sleeves. He has dark gray badges on his coat, and a gray belt with black outlines and black suspenders with grey outlines connected to form a bulletproof vest with a gray torso plate on it. His belt has a white buckle, and grey accessories around its waist. Across his body, he has a long light gray strap, with dark grey outlines and a green walkie talkie he keeps at his left side while he has a pocket on his right side. Around his neck, he wears a black and green camouflage scarf. Under his coat, he wears a dark navy-gray camouflage undershirt, with four small stars on it. He wears black pants and black snow boots, which also has white fluff at their tips as well as shoelaces. He wields a UMP-45 submachine gun as his weapon.

Same as the current, however he has no visible mouth, eyebrows, whiskers, the wires and black patterning on his blackened side and the dots around his eye marks. His right ear isn't chipped and his eye marks, orange iris and the blackened side of his face are less detailed as well as lacking visible eyelids. His nostrils are longer and are positioned upwards while his freckles are positioned downwards. The symbol on his hat is completely different and lacks outlines while his strap belt is colored dark grey with light grey outlines. It is also flipped and is attached to his right pocket which contains mags, and this as well as his scarf and shoe laces were much larger. He has no fluff on both his sleeves and the tip of his boots as well as having less fluff at the neck. He has a bit of fluff under his scarf and he doesn't have badges on his coat, nor does he have stars on his undershirt. Both his coat and undershirt are no longer camouflaged as well as the lower part of his coat lacking outlines. His buckle and accessories were also much larger as well as the accessories being colored white instead of grey. He lacks a bulletproof vest as well as his walkie talkie being colored dark grey instead of green. There are 3 small yellow buttons on his undershirt and the patches on his cap are repositioned on the side of its symbol as well as his eye marks being colored pink instead of gray. His ears are slightly shorter and have more white on them. His belt is black with grey outlines. He instead wields the Assault Rifle as his weapon.

Same as the current, however his left eyebrow isn't chipped and the dots around his eye marks are colored black. His ears are pointy with pink, reddish-pink and light gray insides and lack eyelids. His nostrils are engulated like Markus, is more detailed and are positioned downwards while his freckles are colored black. The symbol on his cap looks exactly like The Capitol symbol with wings on it and has a shorter bill. His cheek is colored light pink and is much smaller while his eye marks, the area below his mouth and his lower jaw are colored reddish-pink. His jacket has short sleeves and lacks the patch. A part of his scarf droops down and has a shorter jacket.He lacks a strap belt and his torso plate is more detailed, being colored dark grey with screws on them. His suspenders and belt are more detailed, consisting of 2 pockets and the buckle being colored dark gray. The stars on his undershirt are reflective, the fluff on both his boots and sleeve are more detailed and the laces on his boots are more detailed.

Animations

Idle

Stands upright while holding his weapon in both hands. Looks to his right, then to his left, moving his pupil as he does so. He then blinks and moves his right arm and rifle behind him while putting his left arm on his waist. He slightly closes his eyelids and exposes his front teeth while bending down. He will then put down right arm and weapon and lifts his left arm while looking at his right. He will then momentarily shake while his eyes flicker as he slightly bend his legs. He then roars, exposing his jaw and his eyes blacken while putting down his left arm. He then slightly closes his jaw and rolled his eye forwards before returning to his normal idle, blinking in between.

Walking

Marches forward while moving his body left and right while his left ear twitches.

Jumpscare

Kneels down and hits you with the back of his rifle, then crouches and shoots while roaring.

Stunned

Kneels down, leaving armed hand hanging down and holding head with other hand. His eyes also blacken as his head lifts up and slightly shakes.

Jumping

Jumps while slightly bending his right leg and hold weapon in both hands while his eyes go black.

Trivia

• Fergus placed 1st place in the Skin Contest with 503 votes.
• According to Desert_play5982, he plans to redesign Fergus as he personally prefers a newer version he made over the current one.. Most of his animation were confirmed to be remade as well as a poll asking the community if they're interested in the newer remade model of Fergus. The results have concluded, with the votes being in favor of the new design of Fergus.
  • Desert_play5982 has also stated that he might make the current model of Fergus into a free alternate skin for those who want to keep the current design in the game.
• He also seems to uses R6 rigs, unlike his current skin.
• Fergus was originally going to have a reload animation after killing a player, but this was scrapped for unknown reasons.
  • The animation can still be accessed with /e reload, making it the first custom emote with unique sound effects.
• According to Desert_play5982, Fergus took inspiration from Tower Defense Simulator.
• Desert_play5982 made Fergus a hippopotamus, due to them being his favourite animal.
• Along with Billy, Mari, Crove, Glenn, Marley Russell, Shardantus and Jakayla, Fergus costs 500 .
• This is the seventh skin to have a ranged weapon, with the first being Bunny, the second being Torcher, the third being Mr. P, the fourth being Primrose, the fifth being Delta, and the sixth being Willow, and the eighth being Bunny (Alternate).
  • However, just like any of the aforementioned skins, you still have to get up close to the player if you want to kill them.
• He is one of the many skins with a unique stun animation.
• He is confirmed to be over 30 years old.
• The badge on his cap is vaguely similar to the symbol of The Capitol's, a faction from the upcoming Piggy: Intercity.
• His weapon in the concept is the Assault Rifle, a ranged weapon in Piggy: Intercity (DEMO).
• Despite not being involved with any holiday, season, or crossover event; Fergus still counts as an extra skin.
  • This also applies to Phenna, Sentinel, Laura, Shardantus, Marley Russell, Glenn, Ombra, The Prototype and Jakayla.
• When Fergus knocks down Pony in Docks, the shooting particle effect from his Submachine Gun is not shown during the jumpscare.
  • Torcher, Kona, Mr. P, Willow, Delta and Tobi also experience this issue, where the effects from their weapons don't appear.
    • Silzous experienced a similar issue where the black patterning under his eyes and spots on his tail don't glow orange when attacking Pony in Docks. When zooming into his left eye, you can see it slightly overlaps his eyelids.
• Due to his height, he has some trouble getting through some areas.
• He is the only skin in the game with moving eyelids.
• Unlike most skins with orange pupils, Fergus uses a different shade of orange for his pupil/iris. This applies to Owell, Mr. Stitchy, Mari, Phenna, Silzous, Marley Russell and Glenn.
• He is the fourth military-based skin, the first being Soldier, the second being Torcher and the third being Delta.
  • Out of all these skins, Fergus is the only one who isn't canon to the Piggy storyline.
• He, like the other 2022 Contest Winners has unique emotes, those being:
  • /e dance - does the Distraction Dance, shares with Jakayla, Marley Russell and Shardantus.
  • /e dance2 - does the hype dance.
  • /e dance3 - does the Kazotsky Kick, shared with Jakayla and Marley Russell.
  • /e wave - stands upright and Salutes.
  • /e laugh - looks up, closes his eyes, and laughs.
  • /e reload - takes a mag from his left pocket, removes and throws the old mag away, and puts the new mag in.
• His Kazotsky Kick emote was based off of Heavy's Kazotsky Kick animations from Team Fortress 2.
• Strangely enough, his weapon disappears when doing /e dance, /e dance3 and /e wave.
• He and Marley Russell are the only skins in the game with freckles.
  • Coincidentally, they are both animated by Russell0207.
• He is one of the few skins with movable ears, the others being Billy's old design, Marley Russell and Krampiggy.
• According to Desert_play5982, Fergus was originally gonna be a ferret pilot, but this was scrapped for unknown reasons.
• Fergus was originally named "Hayden", but this was changed. As told by Desert_play5982, this was because many of the other Skin Contest submissions didn't have their names matching what animal they were (such as Jakayla being a Lung Dragon and Marley Russell being a Jack Russell Terrier), and he wanted Fergus to have a more unique name as well.
  • In addition to that, he chose the name “Fergus” because it means "a strong person" in Scottish.
  • Interestingly, he was confirmed to be Scottish and Asexual.
  • This makes him one of five known characters to be part of the LGBTQ+ community, the others being Dessa, Mari, Silzous and TIO .
• He is one of the few skins to use R15 animations, with the others being Mr. P, Silzous, Decaying Infected and Meisery.
• He was confirmed to have a total of 150 parts.
• He was planned to have a parasite attached to the burnt side of his face instead of wires, this was removed as it made no sense.
• He was intended to cost 600 , but MiniToon didn't see this, so he ended up costing 500 .
  • A similar occurrence happened with Ghosty, who was also supposed to cost 600 , but ended up costing 460 .
• He originally had a theme composed by PianoVampire called "Steel Heartbeat,” although it was removed as it didn't fit him. The theme can be listened to here.

• His soundtrack is Avenged Sevenfold by Metal Guitar Stuff /Tore Fagerheim but slowed down and lower pitched. It can be found on Roblox as FergusTheme.
• His jumpscare sound is an audio from the Roblox Library called (Dragon) Long Roar 2. The audio originated from How to Train Your Dragon.
• His first hit sound is an audio from the Roblox Library called Punch Kit Beefy Hit 2 (SFX).
• His second hit sound, or his shooting sound is an audio from the Roblox Library called UMP45 Gunshot 〖𝐂𝐍〗.
