Finley is a character in Piggy, first unseen in the Season 4 journal page and the epilogue of Mansion. He made his first physical appearance in Time.
Appearance[]
Finley is an orange fox similar to Felix. He has a white snout, a black nose, three black whiskers on both sides of his snout, triangular orange ears with black tips and pink on the inside, strands of fur on the sides of his head, and a short orange tail with a white tip. He wears gray goggles on top of his head, an olive-colored polo shirt with two pockets with a brown strap around his torso, bandages wrapped around both of his elbows, maroon fingerless gloves, dark brown cargo pants with pockets on both sides, dark brown boots and a beige scarf. In his old materials, his gloves are dark red and his scarf is dark yellow.
History[]
On an Exploration[]
Finley is an explorer that went on an expedition in the ruins with his crew. When they get to the ruins, Finley starts taking note of the orange eyes everywhere, but he shrugs it off, stating that it's just graffiti. He then tells two of the members in his group to explore the temple. The next day, Finley writes his 8th log, stating that the two have yet to return, and he starts thinking that they've found a treasure, and are keeping it to themselves. Annoyed by the "traitorous" actions of the two, Finley sets up camp, and heads into the temple with the rest of his members.
Working with Eddy[]
Finley worked with Eddy to investigate something mysterious at some point. After the events of Mansion he gathered up with Eddy's family inside his mansion on a Christmas night. It is unknown whether he worked with Eddy before or after exploring the south ruins.
Personality[]
According to his log, it is implied that he is very prideful and egotistical, as he commonly refers to himself as "the Great Finley". It is also shown that he thinks somewhat lowly of others around him, as he refers to the people he's working with as his "crew," and immediately thinks that they're selfish and greedy when two of his coworkers don't come back from exploring.
In his first physical appearance, though non-canon, more of his personality is shown however, Finley is selfish, as he commands the spectator to find the treasure for him, as well as keeping the treasure for himself once the Player does so. Moreover, Finley is also extremely cowardly, as he hides in a crate in both phases of the chapter.

- Finley is the first known character that is introduced via a journal page.
- The journal page that Finley writes is his 8th log on the expedition, meaning there are at least 7 other logs that could be about other explorations.
- Finley is the first character to have actual moving eyelids, as opposed to other characters who have them just appear in intervals.
- The ruins that Finley explores could be the same one mentioned by the Player in the Forest's journal page.
- It is likely that Finley was stuck in a ruin by the Insolence, since the orange eyes were everywhere.
- Finley is reintroduced in Mansion as a minor character, as Eddy made a phone call to him.
- He makes a physical, though non-canon appearance in Time.
- He is one of few characters to use R15.
- He is a bit shorter than most other character models, this is likely due to the head size in comparison.
- He is the first Piggy character with face controls.
- In Time, the material used for his scarf and gloves looks different between the intro and map itself. This is because the sub-place for the event uses 2022 materials while the main game has them disabled.
- On June 16th, 2024, Finley was added to the Cutscene Creator in Build Mode.
