"Why did my friends leave me in here...?"
― A note written by Foxy, Carnival - Chapter 8
Foxy is a skin and a minor character in Piggy. He was a former member of The Silver Paw and the secondary bot and antagonist of Carnival. He used to be present in the beginning cutscene of Gallery and was added into the game as a skin when the aforementioned chapter was released, but he was later removed from the cutscene due to the storyline inconsistencies. He was also mentioned in a note in Refinery. Foxy also appears in Build Mode as an NPC, added June 17th, 2024.
Foxy (Blue) is his only alternate skin, and it can be obtained through completing the Daily Skin Quests.
Appearance
Foxy is a neon orange fox with a large black sphere for a nose and triangular ears. His right eye has a small white pupil while his left eye has a slightly larger teal pupil, both with black sclera. He wears blue pants and a black hoodie with white drawstrings. He has a small orange tail with a white tip. He wields a black handled knife with a gray blade.
Nearly identical to his original counterpart, with the exception that his hoodie and pants are now shades of blue.
Foxy's old design is similar to his current model but with several differences. His outfit is instead simply a red sleeveless shirt and he doesn’t wear pants. His tail is gone and he has pink cheeks on his face.
History
Working with The Silver Paw
Before the infection, Foxy was a fox who lived in Evalia. When the infection started, however, Foxy needed to find safety from the infected. He eventually found a group he could stay with, called The Silver Paw, who he made friends with. It is currently unknown what was Foxy's job before he joined The Silver Paw.
Becoming Infected
Foxy, without knowing, somehow started to cause trouble to The Silver Paw, which angered their leader, Willow. This subsequently caused Foxy to be brought to Mr. P's carnival, and locked in a cage, with a key inside, leaving him there to become infected. Someone from The Silver Paw also wrote a note in front of the cage, saying to not open the cage, as there is a "monster" inside. Once The Silver Paw left, Foxy wrote a note to himself asking why his friends left him here. After writing the note, Foxy turned infected.
Attacking the Player
When the Player arrived at the carnival, they had no other choice than to open Foxy's cage to get the white key. They managed to get the key, which they used to escape the carnival, but by opening the cage, Foxy had also escaped with them. When the Player was talking to Zizzy and Pony after the player escapes the Carnival, Foxy was ready to attack them. Pony pointed out that he thought that the Player had a friend. Zizzy replied saying that wasn't a friend, and that Foxy is an infected, whereupon Pony quickly got his wooden sword out and hit Foxy on the head with it, knocking him out. The Player, Pony and Zizzy then headed for the Safe Place.
Animations
Idle
Hunched over while breathing heavily and holding onto his knife with left arm and leg in front
Walking
Similar to idle animation but shuffles forwards, slightly spreading his arms out and swaying them.
Jumpscare
Stands upright, holds up his knife, tilting his body to the right, then stabs the player as he tilts to the left.
Stunned
Looks down and puts arms down, with occasional head twitching (overlays the current animation).
Trivia
- Foxy's old jumpscare sound is taken from Five Nights at Freddy's: Ultimate Custom Night. Coincidentally, he also shares a name with Foxy from the same franchise.
- Foxy is one of the two characters who were scrapped from the Gallery intro, with the other being Teacher.
- He and Bobby are the only characters to have a largely different head model than another character with the same species, who are in this case Felix, Finley and Poley respectively.
- It was confirmed that MiniToon did not want to change Foxy's head due to nostalgia reasons.
- Foxy is the first skin to:
- Have a blue pupil.
- Have heterochromia.
- Have a unique jumpscare animation.
- Be a fox appearing in Piggy, others being Felix, Archie, Anna Foster (though Archie and Anna are technically an arctic fox) and Finley.
- Strangely, Foxy and Finley are the only ones out of the four of them to have a visible tail.
- He shares his ears model with Doggy.
- Foxy wanders around his cage, guarding the white key, like Mousy in the Mall. Thus, he does not chase you like normal Piggy bots do, although he can still kill you if touched.
- Soldiers have a similar route, yet they do not guard anything.
- Foxy's design has made people joke about the character being Sans from the indie game Undertale. This is because of his blue pupil color and his black hoodie, similar to how Sans looks in battle during the Genocide Route. Furthermore, his blue variant wears a blue hoodie, similar to Sans' overworld sprite.
- Coincidentally, Kitty's alternate skin variant also shares resemblance to Sans.
- His redesign came about when a moderator of the Piggy Discord, known as Quicksilver/Elegant Atrocity, started the movement #HOODIEFORFOXY. After many users added the tag to their nicknames and even made art depicting Foxy with a hoodie, MiniToon told the Quicksilver that if they could convince PastelRalnbow to join the movement, he’d consider putting up a Twitter poll. The hoodie won with 18,747 out of 21,017 votes - whilst the other two designs did not receive any more than 7%.
- He is one of many infected that appear in a cutscene, with the others being Piggy, Mother, Father, Sheepy, Grandmother, Teacher, Doggy, Bunny, Elly, Soldier, Badgy, Beary, Rash, Alfis, Kolie, Kenneth, Markus, Ben, Porter, Eloise and Mary.
- Foxy has the same kill animation and weapon as the Traitor.
- According to a note in Refinery, Foxy was a member of The Silver Paw and was “relocated". This is confirmed by the note outside his cage that warns people not to open the cage because he was "a monster". That note was written by The Silver Paw.
- If he is stunned with the gun, it won't say the usual "Piggy is gone for 20 seconds". Instead, it will display "Foxy is gone for 20 seconds." He shares this trait with the secondary bots of Book 1 chapters and the bots of Alleys, Store, Refinery, and The Safe Place.
- He shares his nose model with Teacher's old design and Pandy.
- Along with Elly and Mousy, Foxy was one of the three skins to have a poll for their redesign. There were three models of Foxy that were being voted for to determinate his redesign: #1 has Foxy wearing a black hoodie with blue trousers, #2 has him wearing a green shirt and black shorts, and #3 has him in his current appearance but with turquoise shirt instead of red. Model #1 got the most votes.
- Most (if not all) of Foxy's merchandise is based on his old design.
- Unlike Billy, he didn't get a figure fixing this.
- When somebody asked MiniToon what happened to him, he replied saying "Some questions won't be unanswered forever".[1]
- Foxy is one of three skins to have soundtracks composed by Tom Antonius R G Habes, the others being Tigry and Devil.

- His new soundtrack is an APM Music track from the Roblox Audio Library called Clowns but slowed down and lower pitched.
- His old soundtrack is from an audio from the Roblox Audio Library called creepy clown music by Jae_beanyt but slowed down.
- The original music is a track called Creepy from Bensound but slowed down (around 0.7x).
- His new jumpscare sound is a Pro Sound Effects audio from the Roblox Audio Library called Horrific Scream 2 (SFX), but lower pitched and slowed down.
- His old jumpscare sound is Fredbear's jumpscare sound from Five Nights at Freddy's Ultimate Custom Night, but lower pitched and sped up. It can be listened to here.
- His jumpscare stabbing sound comes from the Roblox Audio Library and is an audio named knife_stab by BILI1.
