Friend is a secret character that makes its only appearance in Port - Chapter 7 as an easter egg. It also appears in Build Mode as an NPC.

Appearance

It appears to be a legless creature with a completely black body with a sleeve-shaped part on one of its arms. It has glowing white sclerae with black pupils, complete with an eerie smile filled with white teeth.

How to Summon

You need to click all five Insolence eyes scattered around the Port. Their locations are:

• Behind the leftmost box facing the Player Spawn, in the area behind the lighthouse and near the Piggy Spawn.
• On the side of the pillar near the leftmost building second closest to the invisible barrier.
• Behind the reception desk in the blue building to the right.
• Between a wall and a nightstand in an upstairs room in the blue building.
• On the side of a shelf inside the lighthouse.

After this, go to the locked door on the far right of the map and click on it. After a few seconds, it will spawn and start chasing you. It is extremely quick, meaning it is hard to avoid. It also lacks a jumpscare; once touched, it simply kills the player and then despawns.

Trivia

• This is the first character whose jumpscare doesn't consist of any animation, the second being the Crawling Trap (Docks - Chapter 9 NPC), and the third being The Prototype (Mall NPC).
• Friend, Duocara, Blatt, and Custom NPCs (If set to the right speed) are the only known bots that are faster than the player. The TIO bot, the final bot of Swarm mode, and Custom NPCs (If set to the right speed) are the same speed as the player.
• This is the second bot to have no legs and be able to crawl, with the first being Mousy and the third being the Crawling Trap.
• Its mouth decal can be found in the Roblox Library.
• Friend will not move for the rest of the round once summoned and shot with a gun in Port.
  • After 20 seconds (the usual time for a bot to resume after being stunned), Friend is still able kill a player when touched.
  • If Friend is stunned by anything in Build Mode, they despawn rather than getting stunned.
• Friend reuses Mr. Stitchy's model, with the only exceptions being that it is missing its legs and it has a different head model.
  • Mr. Stitchy's legs can still be found on Friend's model, though they are set to be fully transparent.
• Friend may be non-canon as they are not mentioned in the Player's Journal.
  • However, it's possible that Friend is canon and that the Player simply didn't encounter them canonically, or that it's not in the journal to keep the Easter Egg a secret.
• Friend was added into Build Mode on June 16th, 2024, along with Sentinel and Willow.

Sound Origins

• Friend's jumpscare sound is HIT-Methallic Ring Hit 05, but higher pitched, which is the sound made when an advanced bot like Alfis starts chasing you.
