Gold Piggy is a limited-time skin in Piggy that was made to celebrate Piggy and MiniToon winning three awards at the 8th Annual Bloxy Awards. It came as part 2 of the Egg Hunt and was available on April 4th, 2021 until April 22nd, 2021.
Appearance
Gold Piggy resembles Angel, but all of its body and clothes are golden and therefore entirely reflective. It has two large wings on the back of their body with a pig head and the long dress body type, as well as feminine arms. On their right eye, It has a yellow pupil. It also carries a golden sword. Occasionally, light particles will shoot out of Gold Piggy's body when used.
Animations
Idle
Appears to be levitating while holding the sword in both hands, whilst slightly nodding.
Walking
Same as idle, however they move.
Jumpscare
Raises the sword up behind it's head, then swings it down onto the player.
Stunned
Looks down and puts arms down, with occasional head twitching (overlays the current animation).
Obtainability
Note: The obtainability will not work due to the fact that the Egg Hunt is over.
You had to acquire the Gold Piggy skin by going to Book 1 and choosing House - Chapter 1. You would move around and unlock enough of the map to have placed the plank in the third floor and to have used the hammer in the basement. Then, you had to find and grab the Yellow Key. It can spawn either:
- On a corner in the third floor.
- In the basement near the vent shaft.
- In the lower basement under a few shelves.
- In the shed.
While holding the Key, you had to go to certain spots of the map to reveal four "clock" symbols. Their locations were in the following:
- The first and red clock: In a green wall near the door in the player spawn.
- The second and green clock: On a wall in the room between the dining room and the kitchen.
- The third and blue clock: In the basement on a wall near the vent shaft.
- The fourth and purple clock: Across the vent shaft, on a wall near the Purple Safe.
Once the four clocks were revealed, you had to go to each one of them and rotate the arrow (By clicking the middle button) so that it pointed to the highlighted roman numeral. They had to be done in the order that they are listed above, or they would've reset.
Once all four were done, you would hear the sound of something opening. You then would go to the third floor, across the plank, and you would see a safe (this safe was here since the start of the chapter, but it was closed) that contained a Gold Piggy Trophy. Once you clicked the trophy, you would obtain the skin.
Trivia
- Gold Piggy is based on the 8th Annual Bloxys gold trophy, replacing it with a pig head and giving it a golden sword.
- Gold Piggy's weapon is a retextured version of the commonly used Linked Sword gear found on the Roblox Catalog.[1]
- This skin was added into the game a day after Bess was added, due to the fact the quest for it needed more time.
- Gold Piggy is the second skin to have a particle effect, with the first being Frostiggy, the third being Kraxicorde, the fourth being Gryffyn, and the fifth being Eelektra.
- Gold Piggy is briefly referenced in the ending of Breakout, with Tigry holding a trophy with a similar appearance to Gold Piggy.
- Gold Piggy is the third skin to have visible wings, with the first one being Angel, the second one being Devil, the fourth one being Phenna, the fifth one being Bakari, and the sixth being Bela.
- Gold Piggy is the only skin so far in the game to have gold sclerae instead of the typical black sclerae like most other skins.
- When it came out, it had the longest soundtrack out of all the skins, lasting for an astonishing 7:53, until the soundtrack changed with the audio update. It is currently beaten by The Prototype.
- Gold Piggy's weapon is a lighter shade of gold or yellow, but it isn't reflective like Gold Piggy's dress or wings.
- Despite levitating, they still emit footstep noises. This applies to Angel, Devil, Ghosty and Memory. This is because their legs which are invisible in-game are still touching the ground.
- Gold Piggy shares their idle and walking animations with Memory, Doggy, Beary, Angel, and Devil.
- Gold Piggy shares their jumpscare animation with Piggy (Skin), Little Brother, Mother (Skin), Father (Skin), Grandmother (Skin), Sheepy (Skin), Pandy, Teacher (Skin), Memory, Kitty, Angel, and Doggy.
Sound Origins
- Gold Piggy's jumpscare sound is one of the pig sounds from the game Minecraft. It can be listened to here in the Roblox Audio Library.
- Its new soundtrack is an audio from the Roblox Audio Library called Awards Night (A) but slowed down and lower pitched.
- Its old soundtrack is an audio from the Roblox Audio Library called Dragon Rider by ActusTheory but slowed down and lower pitched.
- The soundtrack is best known for being the closing theme for the 7th Annual Bloxy Awards.
- Its hit sound is an audio called Stab Twice 2 (SFX).
