Hard Mode is a setting and mechanic in Piggy.

Usage

It removes the item bubbles, darkens the game and disables the use of abilities, making the game a bit more challenging for experienced users and harder for newer users.

Trivia

• This mode is essentially the mode before the release of Friendly Items, with some modified features shown below.
• This is not in a different game or gamemode, but rather an overhaul that makes the game harder for players that have the setting on by decreasing their view and removing prompt bubbles, and it does not affect anyone who doesn’t have the setting.
• You will earn 10 extra Piggy Tokens from escaping a map on Hard Mode (you would get an additional 25 Piggy Tokens, as escaping with hard mode off will grant 15 Piggy Tokens), so it can be useful for grinding tokens.
  • If you turned this setting on, bought the x2 Piggy Tokens gamepass, and escape a map on Swarm, you can get 100 Piggy Tokens.
• MiniToon hinted Hard Mode in a Twitter post.
• When enabled on the Swarm gamemode, you can earn 100 Piggy Tokens. However, the x2 Piggy Tokens gamepass is required.
  • Without the x2 Piggy Tokens gamepass, you will only earn 55 Piggy Tokens.
• There is a glitch where if a player has hard mode on and joins mid-round, the map won't be darker for them.
