The Lever Puzzle is a mechanic that only appears in Lab - Chapter 12.

Activation[]

To activate the puzzle, you will first need to activate the lab's auxiliary power (the switch is located in the reactor, bottom floor). After you activate the auxiliary power, you will have to go to the upper half of the reactor and press the button.

Completion[]

Grid Panel[]

The panel that is found after you use the blue keycard has nine red squares, and after you push the button above where you turn on the auxiliary power, three out of the nine squares will turn green. The positioning of the squares on the grid is randomized every round, and it is important that you remember what place they were in.

The Nine Rooms[]

After you've memorized the position of the squares, go down to the bottom floor of the lab and into the office areas. There are nine rooms in a 3x3 formation. In each room there is a lever, and this is where remembering the position of the squares come into play. There will be four levers out of the nine in the area with arrows above it pointing left, right, down, and up. In each side of the room, there will be arrows determining what position of the grid panel it represents (< for left, > for right, ^ for up and ⌄ for bottom). For example, seeing an up (^) arrow above a lever indicates that the side it appears on represents the top part of the grid.

Imagine the squares on the panel that were highlighted green are like the ones in the image to the side (bottom left, bottom center, center right). Go down to the nine rooms and determinate the levers' positions based on the arrows. Then pull the levers in the corresponding grid to the one in the panel near the exit. If done properly, all levers will glow green and a noise of the room that the cure is in opening means that you've done the puzzle correctly.

Trivia[]

  • This is one of many obstacles to appear in only one chapter.
  • After you press the button on the top floor, it will take around 4 seconds for the green lights to appear on the grid.
  • This is the only puzzle to not appear in the first phase of Lab's Hidden Ending.
