The Lonesome Wayfarer, also known as The Ranger, is a secret character that has a chance of appearing in Piggy: Intercity (DEMO). They are also mentioned in a journal entry, written by Kona, that was obtainable during Season 6 - Whistling Winter.

Appearance

They are a shadow figure with white arms that wears a pink hood and dress with black leggings and short, black sleeves. they also have a black sash. Their face is obscured. From a side view, you can see their snout, nose and nostrils, which are similar to those of a zebra model, but they don't exactly match. They partially reuse the Bess model.

History

Rumors

According to Kona's documentation, there is a rumor that the Lonesome Wayfarer saved a couple of travelers and that they're looking for something or someone. He also states in the documentation that the Wayfarer "appears and vanishes just like a whistle in the wind" and that they've been spotted everywhere, from around the lab to the southern desert.

When they walk, their left arm moves forward and their right arm moves back.

During their teleporting animation, black and white smoke surrounds them as they disappear.

Trivia

• It is a common theory that this character is an older version of Zee looking for Zizzy, evidence being that both characters never speak, both having similar head shapes, and both having some kind of connection to the Refinery. However, due to the Hidden Ending being the "canon" ending to Piggy: Book 2, and Zizzy being cured, this no longer lines up.
• While Kona's journal entry uses he/him pronouns for the Wayfarer, it is possible he was mistaken and does not know their true gender.
• They have a 23% chance of spawning at night in the Refinery. After a few seconds, they will automatically disappear.
  • This secret was found by decoding a secret message posted on MiniToon's alt Twitter account which was "UkVGQERBUks".
    • This decodes to "Ref@Dark" which means Refinery at Dark, which is when and where this character pops up.
• They use the Ninja Walk animation from the Roblox Catalog when walking.
  • Due to the Ninja Walk animation only working with R15, they are the third character with a R15 rigged body. The others are Mr. P, TIO, Fergus, Silzous and Finley.
• Their name was first revealed in the game files.
• They sport the Robloxian 2.0 arms instead of the Aladdin arms due to being a current interdict model.
• They don't seem to be infected or part of The Insolence, as they don't attack the Player, yet they can teleport like Insolence members, such as Penny and Markus, but not quite the same.
