Mari is a skin in Piggy: Book 2 that was added a day after Sewers - Chapter 5 and Alfis released.

Appearance

Mari is a light tan wooden marionette with the appearance of a mouse, having a matching colored snout, a reddish brown nose, brown eye marks and large round ears with reddish brown insides. It has small corks protruding from its arms and torso. Its torso is also colored dark brown. It has black sclera and dark orange pupils, though the right pupil is protruding out of its socket, revealing the spring that is supposed to hold the pupil in place. There is a wooden cross above it which is connected to its head and arms through three strings.

Animations

Idle

Floats above the ground with its head drooping down. Its limbs are spread towards the sides.

Walking

Raises its head to look forward while leaning it to its left as its arms reach out and legs are in a moving motion, yet still floating.

Jumpscare

Swings back with hands reaching forward, then swings forward and clamps the player with both hands.

Stunned

Looks up and puts its arms down, with occasional head twitching (overlays the current animation).

Trivia

• Mari is agender^[source?]. This makes them one of five known characters to be part of the LGBTQ+ community, the others being Dessa, TIO, Fergus, and Silzous.
• Mari came out the day after Sewers was released because MiniToon needed more time making it. The same thing happened with Katie, who also came out the day after Factory was released.
  • Mari also had the shortest time in the game with the old designs for most of the Book 1 skins, as the redesigns update released a day after Mari's release.
• Unlike most skins with orange pupils, Mari uses a different shade of orange for it's pupil. This applies to Owell, Mr. Stitchy, Phenna, Silzous, Fergus, Marley Russell, and Glenn.
• Mari's theme, "Abrupt Breakout", also plays as the starting cutscene soundtrack for Sewers - Chapter 5.
• Mari is the second skin in which their body is made of a material that's not plastic, smooth plastic or glass. Rather, it's body material is wood. The first is Frostiggy (ice), the third is Gold Piggy (gold), the fourth is Anteo (pebble), and the fifth is Bakari (wood).
• This is one of the many characters that look up when they are stunned, with the others being Rash, Mr. Stitchy, Raze, Alfis, Dakoda, Archie, Tobi, and Kona.
• Mari is one of the skins that is not an actual animal, along with Pickle Rick, Lisa, Robby, Pumpiggy, Gold Piggy, Mr. P, Frostiggy, Sentinel, Mr. Bliss, ???, Gryffyn, Ombra, Duocara, Meisery, and Blatt.
• Mari is one of the skins that levitates or flies, with the other ones being Memory, Angel, Devil, Ghosty, Owell, Gold Piggy, Laura, Phenna, Bela, Bakari, and Jakayla.
• It is the third skin without a footstep noise, with the first being Owell, the second being Primrose, and the fourth being Laura. This is because it floats slightly above the ground, with the exception of Primrose.
  • Just like other skins that do not make footstep noises, when equipping Mari, an error occurs in which the texts on the top of the screen do not appear and only the timer appears. This was later fixed.
• The strings will move accordingly to the head and arms, which means they'll move when using any of the /e emotes.
  • This also applies to the tubes used on Torcher and Tobi.
• This is the first Book 2 skin to not appear in a chapter in any counterpart, with the second being Kraxicorde, the third being Kamosi, the fourth being Tobi, the fifth being Silzous, and the sixth being Kamosi (Alternate).
• The name 'Mari' is short for the word 'marionette', which is a type of puppet controlled by strings.
• This is the eighth skin without a handheld weapon, with the others being Skelly, Lisa, Dinopiggy, Robby, Parasee, Mr. P, Budgey, Raze, Kraxicorde, Kamosi, Kamosi (Alternate), Spidella, Anteo, Bakari, Piggy (Distorted), Sentinel, ???, Ombra, Duocara, Meisery, Blatt, and Mr. Bliss.
• Mari, alongside Billy, Crove, Jakayla, Glenn, Fergus, Shardantus, and Marley Russell, are tied for being the sixth most expensive skin so far, with the first being Silzous, the second being Kraxicorde, the third being Twins, the fourth being Spidella, and Kamosi and Torcher tying for fifth.
• This skin was planned by MiniToon to have an alternate design and replace Zizzy (Soldier) in Season 3 - Holiday Hustle. The idea was scrapped due to "being scary in the wrong way".
• MiniToon confirmed that Mari isn't currently related to the lore and isn't part of the Insolence, though this could change in the future^[source?].
  • Decay introduced us to Mari, who is not only a mouse, but has the exact same name as Mari, so they could be the same person given that Bunny kills Mari, however, nothing has been confirmed.
• Mari is the first skin seemingly being a toy, with the second being Bakari and the third being Rachna.

Audio

	Soundtrack	Abrupt Breakout by BSlick but slowed down and lower pitched.
	Jumpscare	An APM audio from the Roblox Audio Library called HIT Feedback Hit 02 but higher pitched. The hit sound is an audio called Hit-Metal Hit 11.
