Marley Russell is a skin in Piggy. He was added into the game as one of the 2022 Custom Skin Contest winners, along with Jakayla, Glenn, Shardantus, and Fergus.

Appearance

Marley Russell is a black and beige Jack Russell dog with very ruffled fur and large, pointy ears. He has dark brown fur with a lighter beige fur that surrounds his eyes and mouth. He has a long snout that is slightly open, bearing his many sharp teeth, and he has a small black nose with three freckles surrounding it on each side of the snout. Unlike his left eye, his right eye has a white sclera and is smaller, and the black part is actually one of his eyeholes. His right eye is mostly seen as black, but occasionally it's revealed to have a white sclera and black pupil, and sometimes an inner white pupil, while his left eye has a black sclera, a thin, orange iris, and then black, and then orange and white, and finally a tiny white pupil.

He wears a white scarf around his neck, and a black unzipped sweater torn at the top of each sleeve, that have light gray pockets on each side of his chest. He has several orange glowing tubes in each arm, and a black and glowing orange arm-band per arm. His hands are abnormally large compared to his arms, and unlike most Piggy characters, he has claws and pointed fingers. He has an undershirt with a white-gray zig-zag pattern, very dark gray pants, and black boots. One of his legs has a silver brace above his ankle, with a bunch of pins sticking out of it. He also has seven larger pins placed into his body, two for each arm and three on the back of his head. Finally, Marley Russell has a generator on his back, which according to Russell0207, pumps "melted Insolence" into his veins (note that this isn't canonically connected to the Insolence, as Marley Russell is a non-canon skin). He also appears to have two tube-like devices on his back, most likely connected to the generator, which appear to be syringes but it's unclear since they lack needles.

Animations

Idle

Stands straight while swaying side to side and moving his head around. His eyes aren't visible. After a few seconds, he holds his head with both of his arms and crouches, screaming. His eyes become visible by then. Returns to his normal idle after.

Walking

Walks moving his arms forwards and backwards, constantly sprinting and slowing down. His eyes flicker in and out.

Jumpscare

Holds you with his right arm while shaking angrily, then punches you in the face with his left arm.

Stunned

Flinches back in pain before leaning downwards with hands hanging down, constantly twitching his head.

• According to Russell0207, this skin was based on his pet whose breed is a Jack Russell Terrier.
• Marley Russell placed 3rd place on the Skin Contest with 420 votes.
• He, like the other 2022 Contest Winners has unique emotes, those being:
  • /e dance1 - The Distraction Dance, shared with Jakayla, Shardantus and Fergus.
  • /e dance2 - The Breakdancing Cat from Sakura School Simulator.
  • /e dance3 - The Kazotsky Kick, shared with Jakayla and Fergus.
  • /e wave - Marley Russell waves slowly with his eyes turning pitch black.

• For some reason, his idle animation doesn't loop.

• Along with Billy, Mari, Crove, Glenn, Jakayla, Shardantus and Fergus, Marley Russell costs 500 Piggy tokens.
• Similarly to Silzous, Marley Russell was originally planned to have 3 themes, being Deathmatch Chase, Bloodthirsty by NeonDemonStudio, and Not Myself by Russell0207 himself, each of them playing after he kills a player. However, the idea was scrapped for unknown reasons, thus making Bloodthirsty his only theme.
• Although he and Doggy are both types of dogs, Marley Russell has a much more distinctive snout than Doggy does.
• When he first released, his invisible jumpscare camera (used for the camera movements in his jumpscare animation) had collision turned on. It made the front of the skin collide with walls and objects way further away than it normally should, making it hard to turn around in tight spaces.
  • This was later fixed.
• His laughing and Kazotsky Kick emotes are based from a character from TF2 named Demoman.
• This is the first and only skin to have blood shown, as seen on his torso and arms.
• He and Shardantus delayed the 2022 Contest Skins addition update for being too part heavy.
  • The standard limit for skin parts that MiniToon uses is 30, with 60 parts starting to cause performance issues (an example being Silzous). When Marley Russell’s model was checked, his model had 231 parts.
• According to Russell0207, Marley Russell is a rotten corpse worn by its own soul, though this isn't canon as Marley Russell isn't canon to the story.
• Some of Marley Russell's older designs include an orange electricity particle on his generators. The reason for its removal is unknown.
• According to Russell0207, Marley Russell has some mechanical parts in him.
• According to Russell0207, Marley Russell worked as a cashier at Burger King for 7 years.
• Before Russell0207 started designing Marley Russell, he had two other ideas planned with one being the said skin now, but with a more "snowy" appearance. The second idea was a bear skin.
