Book Description[]

Join Willow and newcomer Cami as they escape from the clutches of PIGGY and a danger-filled elementary school in this terrifying graphic novel adventure!

Welcome to the bone chilling, pulse-pounding world of PIGGY, the survival-horror game that will keep you up at night.

After the outbreak of a zombie-like disease that’s turned the world upside down, Willow and her mysterious team, the Silver Paw, do all they can to stay alive. It’s not so easy when there’s dangerous creatures called "the infected" and their leader, PIGGY, roaming the streets. Danger is around every corner.

When PIGGY ambushes Willow and newcomer Cami, the two escape to an abandoned school only to find they'll have to survive a barbarian clan of kindergartners, a gladiator pit in the cafeteria, and an infected-filled gym, all with PIGGY hot on their trail. Can they escape in one piece? Or will this be the end of Willow and the Silver Paw?

Plot[]

Willow, Katie, and Pandy, members of the Silver Paw, are on a supply run to Kirby's Comic Shop. Inside, they search for items, hoping to find things to trade with other survivor groups. They grab Mashupmon cards and some comics. Willow keeps one of the comics with her, as it was a comic she liked when she was younger. A swarm of infected find the group, and they are forced to flee through a back exit of the shop. Once outside, they hear a tapping sound, which is revealed to be Piggy. Willow tells the two to split up, and she leads the infected away from Katie and Pandy.

Willow runs to Pine Forest Middle School, the middle school she had attended years ago. She begins to scale the fence as she remembers her time attending the school. Piggy catches up to her and hits her over the head with her bat, causing her to fall on the opposite side of the fence. She watches a figure approach her as she loses consciousness.

Willow wakes up and to find herself in the school office with the figure, who is speaking to themselves about a card game. She turns on the lights to reveal the figure, who introduces themselves as Cami. She says she’s glad that Willow was okay and that she was out for a whole day. Willow attempts to leave, but Cami stops her, saying she should stay with her as it's dangerous outside of the office. Willow tells her she'll be fine and tries to convince her to come with her, as she'd be safer with the Silver Paw. She tells Cami she has cards for the game she was talking about earlier, which convinces her to go with Willow.

The two make their way to the playground where they are shot at with pencils by a group of kindergartners who tell them to leave. The two come up with a plan and manage to lure and capture one of the kindergartners to get inside their fort. They use the captured kindergartner to get inside and meet the Queen of Kindergartners. They ask her for permission into the cafeteria. She refuses, saying the principal wouldn't like that. Cami offers her a charged tablet along with the kindergartner they captured in exchange for cafeteria entrance. The Queen accepts this trade and points them in the direction of the cafeteria.

As Willow and Cami head towards the cafeteria, a figure greets the two at the door, saying they had been expecting them. The figure is Dalton, the principal. Willow pieces together that he is likely the son of the principal from when she attended the school. He explains that everything in the cafeteria is decided by Mashupmon battling, where the winner gets what they want and the loser gets thrown into the gym to face the dodgeball team.

The two tell Dalton this is wrong. Dalton orders for Willow to be taken into the gym. Cami stops and challenges Dalton to a Mashupmon duel for the two’s freedom, which he accepts. Cami comes out victorious and the two run off into the forest. Dalton wants to go after them, but is interrupted by the Queen of Kindergartners entering the cafeteria. She says an infected had gotten in and destroyed their whole fort. Piggy appears at the door to the cafeteria before walking off into the forest after Willow and Cami.

Once in the forest, Willow and Cami set up shelter for the night and later fall asleep. Willow is awoken by a tapping sound. She wakes up Cami and tells her to run and find her group. Willow begins to fight with Piggy as Cami runs. Cami stops and decides that she can't leave Willow behind and starts to distract Piggy by making sounds and shining lights. Willow, trying to get Cami to stop, trips and twists her foot. This doesn't stop her, as she still works her way towards Cami.

Cami ends up on the edge of a cliff. Piggy is about to strike her with her bat when Willow manages to divert Piggy's attention away. Together, using a flashlight and the comic Willow had, the two manage to stun Piggy. While the infected is dazed, Willow runs up and pushes her off of the edge into the forest below.

The following morning, Cami treats Willow's injury. They hear a rustle from the bushes nearby, which turns out to be Katie and Pandy, who happily reunite with their boss. Cami takes the group to her secret hideout where she attempts to teach Willow how to play Mashupmon. During this, she says Willow's a lot better at fighting actual monsters. Willow says it takes all types to make a team, and that she knows they can get through anything.
