Officer Poley, simply known as Poley, is a character in Piggy and one of the three known members of Lucella Police Department. He makes his debut in a picture in the Piggy: Book 1 Credits. Afterwards he makes a cameo appearance at the end of Refinery - Chapter 3 as a minor antagonist and in a picture in the Player's room in the Safe Place with Doggy. He is also the bot of the Heist chapter.
Physical Appearance[]

Poley is a polar bear with a snout, a large black nose, round ears and gray cheeks. He has white skin while the insides of his ears are black. He wears a blue long sleeved shirt which consists of a collar and chest pockets. He has a grey badge near his upper chest area and yellow stripes near the end of his sleeves as well as two yellow dots around it. The lower part of his shirt is colored black and he wears a black tie which has a white stripe on it. His shirt also has yellow arrow patterning on the side of his arms and blue badges on his shoulders with yellow dots between it and his head. He wears a blue police cap with a black stripe and a grey badge on it. He wears dark gray sweatpants with a yellow stripe on the side of his legs and black leather shoes. He also wields a taser with both of his hands.
When he got infected, Poley's eyes contained red sclera and a blue pupil in his right eye. His police cap and taser are also absent.

Same as the current however, his head is larger and his police cap is smaller.
History[]
Police career[]
Before the infection, Poley was a polar bear who presumably lived in Lucella and worked as a senior police officer for the Lucella Police Department. It is unknown if he ever worked with the Player, but it is implied that he might have been friends with them, since he was a good friend of Doggy (as seen in one of the pictures in Piggy: Book 1 Credits).
Failed mission[]
Main article: Heist
One of Poley's missions was to defend a pie kept in a warehouse called Baba's Pies, which a small group of thieves, composed of Willow, Rash, Billy, and Pony, attempted to steal in order to cheer up Willow's younger brother, William. Poley failed this mission, as the group stole the pie, though this was a Pyrrhic victory for them since William left his home to find Daisy while they were absent. This would also lead to Doggy and the Player to eventually arrest Willow and Rash later on.
Becoming infected[]
Once the people of Lucella started becoming infected, Poley was among those who turned, though it is unknown how he got infected. What is known is that he was infected at the station, that he passed Willow's prison cell, and that he unknowingly dropped a key near her cell. Willow managed to get the key, open her cell and escape the station.
Captured[]
Later, Poley somehow got captured by The Silver Paw. He was then locked in one of the cells in the Refinery and used to turn people infected if they ever crossed The Silver Paw's path. It's possible that he was captured as revenge by Willow as he tried to arrest her in Heist.
Attacking Zizzy[]
After Zizzy was captured by The Silver Paw, she was put in the cell with Poley, and the two fought each other. Poley managed to get three scratches on Zizzy (which would result in her becoming infected), but was ultimately knocked out by her punches the moment the Player and Pony came to rescue her. What happens to him afterwards is unknown, as he is not seen in Distraction despite being knocked out by Zizzy earlier.

As an uninfected, he leans forward while moving legs in a walking motion.
As an infected, he walks with his legs twisted inwards while holding one arm out forward and holding one behind.

As an uninfected, he lifts his arm holding his taser and then shoots in player.

As an uninfected, he puts his hands by his sides and he looks down.

Trivia[]
- When he writes notes, he signs them with "OP", which seems to stand for "Officer Poley".
- There's a mistake in one of the Heist ending cutscenes where he is seen walking down a hallway in the station, but later gets stuck on a table.
- While Poley may have been named after "polar" as he is a polar bear, it is plausible that he is also named after "police" as he is also a police officer.
- He has a lot of similarities to Officer Doggy, indicating MiniToon probably used him as a base when creating Poley.
- He reuses his animations and his weapon.
- When he used to blink, his eyelids were brown, most likely being a leftover from Officer Doggy. This is now fixed.
- Poley wears the old police outfit from Jailbreak. Due to this, you can unintentionally see a bit of unmatched skin shading (most likely human-like skin) near his hands. The same problem also occurs with Doggy.
- He is the sixth uninfected bot, with the first one being Robby in Mall - Chapter 10, the second one being Mr. P in Plant - Chapter 12, the third one being Rash in Alleys - Chapter 1, the fourth one being Tigry in Refinery - Chapter 3, and the fifth one being Willow in Factory - Chapter 6 the seventh one being Duocara in the Mansion.
- He is the second character to have red sclera as an infected, the first being Doggy.
- Interestingly, they are both police officers.
- According to the Player's journal, Poley is a senior, confirming him to be older and more experienced officer, likely more than Player and Doggy. It's also mentioned that he is capable of handling many hand-to-hand situations despite his age. This is written in the entry for Refinery - Chapter 3.
- His sclerae are different compared to his skin counterpart: in the story, he has red sclera and a blue pupil in his right eye, while his skin counterpart has black sclerae instead.
- Poley's hat is wider than the one of his skin variant, which is another noteworthy difference between the two.
- In Distraction , he is nowhere to be found despite him appearing in Refinery being knocked out by Zizzy.
- During the ending of the Refinery, the Player doesn't seem to recognize him despite them being colleagues.
