Port is the seventh chapter of Piggy: Book 2 and the nineteenth chapter in the game overall. It introduces new events like the battery slot, two new skins named Kraxicorde and Dakoda and introduces Budgey as a new character. Dakoda is the canonical bot for this map.

Appearance

The port is a mix between the City map and the House map for the buildings. It has multiple different 4-story buildings (2 are accessible, which are the café and hotel/apartment buildings) that represents different shops, an alleyway, multiple rusted cars on a street in front of the buildings, a lighthouse, some crates, street lanterns, and a dock, or pier. There are also other buildings with a similar design to the accessible buildings, in the background, which aren't within reach.

Storyline

Willow, Pony, The Player, Zee, Zuzy, Mimi and Georgie Piggy arrive at a port near the ocean. Willow explains that while she would love to take them across the North Sea, Tigry stole her tugboat. Then, Mimi wonders if they could get the lighthouse working again. After the Player turns the lighthouse's beacon on while getting ambushed by an infected called Dakoda, a huge ship called "The Medora" arrives. The Safe Place members get on the ship, and they ask who is there. Suddenly, Budgey appears and explains how she is the captain of the ship and asks if they are the ones that lit the lighthouse. The group explains how they need help to cross the North Sea. While Budgey has spare fuel, she explains that it is sealed in the lower levels of the ship, and how the rest of her crew is also there, but they are trapped, since they were infected by the sickness and curse Davy Jones brought upon them. Willow and the Player eventually decide to go down there together after a short discussion. Mimi then asks the captain where they would be heading to if they managed to get the fuel successfully. Budgey then replies, saying that they would be heading to Doveport. Mimi exclaims that she knows an engineer friend from there, but was not sure whether he was still there. Budgey then tells them to not feed the fish down there, possibly an idiom for dying/getting infected.

Budgey: Avast ye filthy landlubbers! My name is Captain Budgey, captain of the Medora! Were you the ones who lit the lighthouse?

Pony: That would be us. We need your help.

Budgey: Blimey! You board MY ship and ask ME for help? This isn't charity!

Willow: We don't have time to waste. We need to get across the North Sea, and fast.

Budgey: Sink me! Across the sea? On the Medora? You have lost your minds! We aren't going anywhere. I used what fuel we had left to dock here.

Anonymous User: Don't you have any spare fuel?

Budgey: Aye, but it is not possible to get to it.

Mimi: Why would that be?

Budgey: Ever since Davy Jones cursed the world, my hearties weighed the anchor and left to sea. Then, we found out one of our mates had Davy's sickness. One by one, they fell. I had no choice but to seal them in the lower levels of the ship. To this day, the ship remains sealed alongside the fuel reserves.

Willow: Alright, let me go down and get the fuel for you. Then, you'll take us across the sea.

Budgey: Blimey, you're not serious! The crew will tear you apart. You cannot go alone.

Willow: You really think I fear the infected? If they saw what I could do to them, they'd fear me.

Budgey: Aye, I thought the same thing of myself. But do you want to know what they did to me?

Anonymous User: You lost your hand to them?

Budgey: Goodness, no! I lost this to a swimming pool accident. No, I lost my crew to them.

Anonymous User: I'll go with you then, Willow.

Willow: It's best if you don't. I may even end up mistaking you for the infected.

Pony: If we want to find that cure, then we need to work together, Willow. You're the only one who knows where it is. We need you alive.

Willow: Whatever, just stay clear of my kicks.

Mimi: Say, captain, do you know where we'd be landing on the other side of the sea if we pull this off?

Budgey: Aye! We'd be landing in Doveport.

Mimi: Doveport... I know an engineer from there! I wonder if he's still there.

Budgey: Good luck you scalleywags, I'll unseal the ship. Try not to feed the fish down there.

Only one blueprint spawns on the map each round, it will be found at one of the listed below locations.

  • At the top of the lighthouse that is locked by the Green Lock Door.
  • Inside the blue building, in the room with a hole in the wall.
  • Behind the stairs in the red building.

Player Strategies

Vent Locations

Here you will find the locations of all vents.

Vent Location
Broken Railings 1 Located somewhere at the spiral staircase of the lighthouse.
Broken Railings 2 Located at the top floor of the red and brown building, the railings of the staircase.
Room Vent 1 This is in the room next to the Plank Event.
Staircase Vent On the second floor in the red and brown-themed building, there is a vent near the staircases that lead to the alleyway.
Brick Vent This vent is in between the two buildings that you can go into to, it is a pile of bricks.

Escaping From The Bot

Inside the Buildings

The buildings are very closed in, so it is difficult to get around. When the bot is chasing you, try to dodge them around tables and other non-collapsible things, while trying to go through vents. If you get stuck on the balcony, jump onto the table and then jump over the bot's head to escape. Also, use as many vents as you can.

Outside of Buildings

The outside area is pretty expansive so it wouldn't be hard to escape. If the bot catches you in sight, go into the building and close the door behind the bot and then go back into the alleyways. So, it will get confused and go another way.

Piggy Strategies

Trap Placement

You should place traps near the vents and the obstacles that the Player would go to, like the Inflatable Traps and other traps for the vents.

Predicting Where The Players Will Go

The player would go inside buildings, next to the obstacles, and lighthouse as much as they can. They would also go into the alleyway often because it is an efficient method to travel from one building to another.

Easter Eggs

Friend Easter Egg

There is a secret NPC bot located inside one of the locked doors. According to the game's files, it is called "Friend". To make it appear, you will need to click all five eyes of Insolence found scattered around the Port. Their locations are:

  • Behind a box near the lighthouse and the Piggy Spawn.
  • Beside a pillar near the leftmost building.
  • Behind the reception desk in the blue building.
  • Between a wall and a nightstand in an upstairs room in the blue building.
  • On the side of a shelf inside the lighthouse or the Green Key building.

After this, go to the locked door on the rightmost building and knock on it. After a bit, the monster will spawn and start chasing you. It is extremely fast, meaning it is hard to avoid. It also lacks a jumpscare; once you touch it, it simply kills you, and afterwards it disappears.

It is currently unknown what this creature is or where it comes from.

Binoculars

There are binoculars that can barely be seen at the top of the third floor from the bottom of the blocked stairs in the brown building. These were first seen in Alleys in the second-floor window of Leo's Laundromat, though it's unconfirmed whether these are the same binoculars or if they just share the same model.

Trivia

  • Dakoda, the bot for the chapter, spawns right behind the lighthouse, and is presumably the owner of it.
  • This is the first chapter of the second half of Book 2.
  • Many people thought that it was going to be an entire lighthouse as of the light bulb and the house emoji. However, when it was released, the lighthouse is just a part of the map.
  • MiniToon confirmed that this chapter was going to come along with Abilities.
  • In Book 2: Chapter 6, you had two canon choices in gameplay that determined the ending cutscene's outcome. In this chapter, all of the cutscenes will differ in your gameplay, depending on what ending you got in the past chapter. What this mainly does is that it determines whether Mimi will come with you or not.
  • MiniToon initially said that if everything lead according to plan, the chapter was going to be released on the 17th-18th, but due to testing reasons, he later said in a tweet that it was going to come out on the 22nd of April. However, the chapter was actually released the next day (April 23rd) because April 22nd was, in fact, a typing mistake.
  • MiniToon said that this chapter is best described as a mix between House and City in this Twitter post.
  • When someone asked in one of the leak tweets if falling off the balcony would kill the Player, MiniToon replied that he originally wasn't going to allow that, but bringing the fall damage threat back isn't a bad idea.
    • Eventually this was added into the chapter, as falling off the plank event and the grappling hook event will kill the player.
  • MiniToon said that the bot for the chapter would be very scary, such as in the Sewers chapter with Alfis.
  • If you brighten up the second leak, an Insolence eye will be revealed up the stairs.
    • Although the eye in the leak is never seen in Port.
  • In response to a tweet from someone showcasing some unused animations for Alfis (which consist of him diving into and emerging from the sewage water), MiniToon replied that, while they were not finished for Chapter 5, a similar mechanic would be used in Chapter 7. However, this did not end up being the case.
  • A lighthouse and ship can be seen behind the fog in the third leak, where you can see The Medora and the lighthouse of the port.
  • In a recent tweet by MiniToon, he initially said that we should not be surprised if we run into a familiar face. This “familiar face” ended up being Budgey.
  • This is one of the few chapters without any helpful Friendly NPCs, the others being House, Station, Forest, Metro, Carnival, Winter Holiday, Distorted Memory, Distraction, Breakout, Mansion, The Hunt: First Edition Event, Metallica x Piggy Event, RB Battles Studio, RB Battles Spaceship.
    • This is the second chapter to have an unlockable hostile NPC, the others being Carnival, Factory, Ship, Docks, Lab, Distraction, Breakout, and The Hunt: First Edition Event.
      • This is the only Book 2 map to not have any Friendly NPCs. However, Lab only has them in the Hidden Ending and Docks depends on how you view Pony as a helpful NPC.
  • This is the third map to have a hotel building, with the City's Hotel being the first, The Safe Place being the second, and Heist being the fourth.
  • This map has a lot of items and decorations, which can cause lag on some devices.
  • Some people thought that the bot was going to be Kraxicorde, but it was instead Dakoda.
  • The town in Port takes inspiration from multiple Mediterranean towns in Italy and France, but mostly in Italy.
  • This is the 8th chapter among many others with no escape door required to complete the map.
  • Some animations for the NPCs were directly reused from the Winter Holiday map.
  • A note from the Metallica x Piggy Event reveals the name of the town where Port takes place, which is Amberdale.
  • This is the 2nd map to use batteries as escape items, with the first being Store.
  • 3M people own the “Completed Port” badge as of May 12th, 2025.
  • Mimi does not appear for infected players, even if they have the Savior ending selected.
    • If it is Infection, she will be present until the player is infected.
