Season 5 - Witching Hour was 2022's Halloween Season, and the fifth season of Piggy. Following Expectant Exploration, and preceding Whistling Winter, the season started on October 14th, 2022, and ended on November 14th, 2022. The currency was Candies .

Candies

This currency is the same as that of The Haunting.

Candies () are the currency for Season 5 - Witching Hour. You can simply get them by completing daily quests that reset every 24 hours. Players can only have three quests at a time. Players can also use Piggy Tokens to reset the quests rather than waiting, although with each use it becomes more and more expensive, stacking 100 Piggy Tokens each time until it reached 1000.

Here are all the known Daily Quests:

• Play Any Gamemode to the End
• Use 10 Items
• Escape a Chapter with at least 5 minutes left
• Escape a Chapter
• Play a Chapter (The chosen Chapter is randomized to be either from Book 1 or Book 2)
• Infect 3 Players in Infection Mode
• Play 2 matches to the End
• Escape a Chapter on Infection Mode
• Escape a Chapter on Swarm Mode
• Get 5 Kills

The first quest gives you 25 candies, the second quest gives you 50 candies, and the last quest gives you 75 candies, meaning you could get a total of 150 per day if you don't buy more quests with Piggy Tokens.

Season Levels

Season levels were the main progression system for unlocking rewards to buy later. These went up to 11. Here's a list of the amount of XP you needed for each level. (Please note that the XP reset every time you leveled up.)

• Level 1 - 120 XP
• Level 2 - 150 XP (Unlocks Random Survivor Blueprint)
• Level 3 - 190 XP (Unlocks 250 Piggy Tokens)
• Level 4 - 250 XP (Unlocks Spooky Decorations Pack, a Build Mode decoration pack.)
• Level 5 - 400 XP (Unlocks Zee (Magician), a Build Mode player model.)
• Level 6 - 500 XP (Unlocks Special Potion Event, a Build Mode event.)
• Level 7 - 650 XP (Unlocks Magic Wand Event, a Build Mode event.)
• Level 8 - 815 XP (Unlocks Chasing Hand Event, a Build Mode NPC event.)
• Level 9 - 1030 XP (Unlocks Bones Trap, an alternate Egg Trap skin.)
• Level 10 - 1465 XP (Unlocks Katie (Alternate).)
• Level 11 - 1465 XP (Unlocks Carver and a Journal Entry.)

Leaks

• On October 7th, MiniToon announced that a new season would be coming out on October third. He also said he would be reducing the amount of XP and Candies needed, confirming the currency of the season. Furthermore, he stated that it was Halloween themed.
  • He also stated that IK3As would be returning to build a Halloween themed map for the event.
    • He gave the emoji hints for the map in a response to a request. They are: 🦓2️⃣🔎🏠
• His second hint was an image of Zee (Magician) and The Hand makes a cameo in the background.
• MiniToon's final clue for the season was the announcement of an Easter Egg that the players can hunt for during the event.
• MiniToon continued to post numerous image leaks of Mansion.
  • He posted emoji hints (👀❌🟢 👀🔴) for and revealed that a skin would be coming when completing the new map.
  • He provided the release date of and the name of the Halloween map, “Mansion”.
    • He also stated that there would be a new ability you could obtain through collecting blueprints, and it would be added on the 29th.
• KaiuDex leaked Duocara, with a red and a blue half.

Trivia

• This and The Haunting share the same theme and the same currency, candies . This also occurs with seasons 3 and 6, which share the holiday/winter theme, and the gifts currency.
• This, Whistling Winter, and Expectant Exploration decreased the amount of currency (relics in Expectant Exploration, candies in Witching Hour, and gifts in Whistling Winter) required to purchase many of the rewards.
• While most seasons would normally release 2 skins, this season released a map, an ability, and 4 skins.
  • However, this season only released one Build Mode Decoration pack, while most other seasons received two.
  • This season also had the least number of Build Mode Packs in general, with all other seasons having 2 or more.
    • Seasons one and two are exceptions due to them not having any Build Mode Packs.
