The Spooky Hunt was an event in Piggy, first confirmed by MiniToon in his charity livestream. It started on October 17th, 2020 and ended on December 20th, 2020, when the Winter Holiday Hunt released.
Overview[]
The event included four skins (Crove, Pumpiggy, Mr. Stitchy, and Owell, with the last two being limited quest skins), one time limited quest trap (Tombstone Trap), and several Halloween decorations, such as pumpkins, lights and tombstones, to the House, Forest, Carnival, and Alleys maps. It also added three different quests to unlock the time limited items, as well as four special notes. The update also added a small new section to the Shop called "Skins | Extra", which is for event type skins, now including Poley.

Notes[]
Four new special notes were added. Unlike other notes, these ones are old and crumbled and none of them are signed. All of them also seem to talk about Mr. Stitchy. All these notes except for the first one can still be found.

Quests[]
Mr. Stitchy Skin Quest[]
You had to select the Forest map. Around the map were five candles that needed to be collected. They couldn't be picked up by Players; once they were clicked they would've been placed in the broken cabin where Piggy spawns. Their locations were always the same:
- One was behind one of the four cabins near the cave.
- One was behind the platform where Piggy spawns.
- One was inside the cave. This one requires the hammer to access.
- One was inside the tent inside the orange-lock. This one requires the orange key to access.
- One was in the corner between the bench and yellow safe on top of the watchtower. This one requires the plank to access.
Once all candles were placed, you had to grab the torch and light it at the survivor spawn campfire. (NOTE: If the torch was already used to obtain the white key, this quest wouldn't be able to be completed, and you'd have to start over again). You would then need to bring the torch to the broken cabin that Piggy spawns in. With the torch in your inventory, you would need to click on each of the five candles placed on the floor of the cabin to light them. Once all five candles were lit, lines on the cabin floor would appear between them, creating a purple pentagon, as a purple mist would begin to form above the pentagon. After a few seconds, a Mr. Stitchy NPC would spawn into the cabin through the portal in the mist. The NPC acted like a regular bot, meaning it would follow and kill players. You had to let Mr. Stitchy follow you all the way to the cave, where you would find another cloud of purple mist, just behind the campfire. You'd have to lead Mr. Stitchy into this second portal. Once Mr. Stitchy entered the portal and disappeared, you would've heard a cash register sound, meaning that you had unlocked the skin.
Tombstone Trap Quest[]
You had to select the Alleys map. Around the map, there were six body parts belonging to Skelly that needed to be collected. They couldn't be picked up by Players; once they were clicked they would've been placed in a corner just between the laundromat and the alleys’ hotel. Their locations were always the same:
- One was inside the restaurant, between the window glass and a chair.
- One was beside a chair inside one of rooms in the building that also has the monitor room.
- One was on a corner in the restaurant’s “storage” area. This one requires the orange key to access.
- One was beside the table in the monitor room. This one requires the screwdriver to access.
- One was inside the laundromat’s locked area, in one of the corners just beside a laundry machine. This one requires the green key to access.
- One was beside a pillar inside the entrance area to the alleys. This one requires the scissors to access.
After all parts were collected, you'd have to go to the hotel area to pick up a rose. This requires the usage of the red key and the mop. The rose was beside a plant. Once clicked, the rose would not appear in the inventory since it wasn't a regular item, but would've been picked up anyway. Then, you'd have to give the rose to Skelly in his corner by clicking him with the rose picked up. Once that was done, Skelly would sink into the ground and you would hear a cash register sound, meaning you have unlocked the trap.
Owell Skin Quest[]
You had to select the Store map. You had to complete the map long enough to have access to the upper area of the crates room. You then had to get near a spot beside the red crate and a voice would start speaking. They said that if you gave them food, they would give you a strange book. You had to bring the scissors to that spot to open a small hole. After that, you had to bring some grass to that same spot. The voice would accept the grass and give you the book, but will not remember where it was left. The book could spawn in one of these following locations:
- In the kitchen beside a counter. This requires the orange key to access.
- In the parking lot, beside one of the pillars near the Piggy spawn.
- In the grass room, behind a pillar located close to both of the plants. This one requires the green key to access.
- In GorillAirways, behind the desk across from the yellow safe. This one requires the red key to access.
After the book was collected, you would hear a cash register sound, meaning you have unlocked the skin.
Trivia[]
- The event was released on October 17th, 2020, 2 PM MST.
- It took place in both Book 1 and Book 2.
- Even though MiniToon said the event would end in November, it did not actually end until mid-December.
- MiniToon has confirmed that there was going to be a Spider skin obtainable, however it took too long to animate. This information was confirmed via Twitter.[1]
- This would later end up becoming Spidella, the main bot of Temple - Chapter 10.
