Temple is the tenth chapter in Piggy: Book 2 and the twenty-second chapter overall. It introduces new mechanics such as the swinging axe and the wheel puzzle. Spidella is the canonical bot and main antagonist for this map and the only skin added for the release of the chapter. A day after this chapter was released, Phenna was added as a quest skin for this map. Robby is a friendly NPC for this map and will stun Piggy for 20 seconds if given gas.
Appearance
The temple is on a snowy mountain in the blizzard vale of Doveport. It has a lab, six storage rooms, two staircase rooms, four tunnels, a swinging axe room, and an exit with stairs to the outside snow.
Storyline
After meeting with Kona, the Player and Robby head under Kona's lab to escape, and let the others in. Upon entering, the two meet an infected spider named, Spidella, who chases them around. Once they escape, the Player starts feeling "off", and goes through a vision.
Inside the vision, the Player sees Bunny, Doggy, and Zizzy who tell the Player that they're awake. The Player is frightened, and repeats that they aren't real. Suddenly, the Player encounters a mysterious figure that tells them that he's been fascinated by them, and that they should be infected because they got hit at the house, but they aren't. The Player asks the mysterious figure why he wants them, and TIO tells them that he can help them see their friends again. The Player denies, saying that they don't trust TIO. TIO reveals that the Player is immune to the infection, and his last words to the Player are that they shouldn't get in his way, and to stay out of his business. Player shouts at him telling him to leave them alone, and then the Player wakes up nearly punching Pony. Pony asks the Player if he saw TIO, and the Player replies saying they had, and asking who he is. Pony says that he doesn't know, and that he said that he could help see his parents again. Willow, hearing Pony mention his parents, tells him to tell the Player what happened to them. Pony refuses to tell the Player what happened, and an argument starts between Pony and Willow.
Mimi stops the argument, by telling them to stay focused, and that they are nearly there on finding the cure. Robby stays behind to watch the children, but the children want to stay with the group. The group and Robby allow it, and they head towards a military camp, which Kona says over the Mimi’s walkie talkie that there's something strange about it.
The Player, Willow, and Pony get to the snowy surface. Robby says he would stay behind and take care of the children, and leaves. The group then talks about how it’s odd that the infected have been pulled to where the supposed cure is, that someone is “pulling the strings”. After the short conversation, the group then takes off near the military camp.
Transcript
Robby: We will go downstairs first and clear the path for the rest of the group.
Anonymous User: Sounds good! How hard can it be?
Anonymous User: This is quite a big lab for a single person...
Robby: Also, I forgot to mention there may be traps laying around.
Anonymous User: You're telling me this now?!
Anonymous User: Hang on, I'm feeling a little off...
Anonymous User: What the... Where am I?
Anonymous User: ... Bunny...?
Anonymous User: No... this is a trick. I know it's not real... these hallucinations need to stop, Get out of my head, get out of my head!
Bunny: Anonymous User! You're awake!
Anonymous User: No, I'm not listening... you're not real!
Anonymous User: Leave me alone! I'm tired of these tricks!
TIO: Are you sure about that?
Anonymous User: Huh? Who said that?
Anonymous User: What are you...?
TIO: Tell me, do you recognize this?
Anonymous User: Yeah, the school sewers. But, how did you-
TIO: How about this?
TIO: We are in your memories, Anonymous User. It's not the first time you've been here.
Anonymous User: At the plant... you did that? Why?
TIO: The memories, the hallucinations, the whispers....
TIO: You see, I've been... fascinated by you for quite a while. You're unique, Anonymous User.
Anonymous User: You're calling me unique? Have you seen yourself? Besides, I'm just an ordinary person in this messed up world.
TIO: Incorrect. You're extraordinary, and not like the others. You're supposed to be infected. You were attacked at the Piggy residence.
TIO: But you're not. You're alive. You're...
Anonymous User: So what? What do you want from me?
TIO: Don't you see? You're immune to the infection. You have much potential to do things beyond your understanding.
TIO: I can help you see your friends again.
Anonymous User: No. I don't trust you. For all I know, you're just in my head too.
TIO: Are you rejecting my offer?
Anonymous User: I'm never going to fall for any tricks you have up your sleeve.
TIO: Hm. So be it. They're always stubborn at first. Then, when they have no one left, they come right back to me.
TIO: I have but one thing to leave you with; stay out of my business. If you continue to follow your current path, you will live to regret it.
Anonymous User: Leave me ALONE!
Willow: You put up one heck of a show, Anonymous User. If we find a camera, you gotta do that again.
Pony: Let me guess... you've seen him too, haven't you?
Anonymous User: Who is he?
Pony: I don't know. All I know is that he's been messing with my head ever since my mind went weak, and that his fashion sense is just as strange himself.
Pony: Judging by how he's been more and more direct with us, I think it's safe to say he doesn't like what we're doing.
Anonymous User: How'd you meet him?
Pony: After I did... certain things in T.S.P., my mind shrouded with guilt. He used that as an opportunity to get in my head.
Pony: He offered me the ability to see my family again. That's how he tries to control you and use you for his own reasons... with his wicked bribes.
Willow: Speaking of your family, have you told Anonymous User what you've done?
Pony: Now's not the time, Willow. We need to find that cure.
Willow: They deserve to know the truth, Pony. If you don't tell them, I will do it myself.
Pony: You told me to do it, Willow! I didn't want to do it!
Mimi: Hey, hey! Let's all settle down. We're so close to finding what we came here for.
Robby: I will stay behind and protect the children. It is my duty to do so.
Georgie: Hey, no fair! I've been on crazier journeys before. I'm going! It's what my family would've wanted.
Zuzy: Yeah, us too! Our big sister is counting on us. We're not gonna let some cute robot stop us now!
Mimi: We want you three to be safe. We can't guarantee that out there.
Pony: Come on, Mimi! Zee and Zuzy broke us out of a cell through a dangerous sewer system! I don't think even I could do that!
Willow: So you're the rascals responsible for that? I'll admit, I'm impressed.
Anonymous User: Don't forget Georgie, he survived the infection on his own in the city alone for a while, and came with me to confront Mr. P! If anything, we're safer with them around.
Mimi: Well...
Georgie: If we find any cool tech, it's all yours!
Mimi: Fine. Just don't tell Zizzy when we get her back!
Zuzy: Bye-bye, Robby!
Kona (through the radio): Mimi, do you read? There's something going on at the outpost ahead... you're gonna want to hear this.
Robby: I will stay behind and protect the children. It is in my programming to do so.
Anonymous User: Thank you, Robby.
Pony: Isn't it crazy? We may find a cure to this whole infection. To think we'll see those we've lost again..
Anonymous User: But, if they really developed a cure, how come the world isn't normal again?
Willow: My guess is that they're keeping it to themselves until they make enough... otherwise, the whole world would be in our position.
Pony: That would be a disaster.
Anonymous User: On top of that, they seem to be already a little busy with the bombings and keeping the infected at bay.
Pony: Do you think it's possible that... something, somewhere, is pulling the strings?
Willow: And I thought I was insane.
Anonymous User: I think he's onto something Willow, by the looks of it, the infected have been coordinating pushes further north. At least, some of them.
Pony: They're also headed where the supposed cure is.
Pony: Something is out there, and it won't stop until it gets what it wants.
Willow: For once, You're actually starting to make sense. Now let's quite wasting time and get going!Locations
- Blue Key: Next to the piggy spawn, at the top of the stairs that aren't locked up, in front of the green key room, or near the green key room but not in front of it.
- Green Key: In the blue key room or in between the stairs that aren't locked up and where the piggy spawns.
- Orange Key: Next to the exit door or on a bench on the stairs that require the red key to access.
- Red Key: Next to the exit door or in between where you use the shovel and the left bridge.
- Hammer: In the Yellow Safe.
- Purple Key: Next to the blue key room, next to the purple safe, next to the green key room, or at the bottom of the stairs that aren't locked up.
- White Key: In the Purple Safe.
- Shovel: In the orange key room.
- Candle: In the green key room or in the blue key room.
- Plank: In front of the exit door after using the hammer.
- Yellow Key: In the green key room or in between where you use the shovel and the left bridge.
- x3 Gas Cans: In the orange key room, on a bench on the stairs that require the red key to access, near the green key room, or in the green key room.
- x3 Shape Code Hints (Unable to be picked up): In the green key room, in the blue key room, and in between where you use the shovel and the left bridge.
- Blue Lock Door: Behind the temple staircase.
- Exit Door: Inside the Cobwebs.
- Shovel Event: In the hallways by inside cobwebs.
- x2 Boards: On Exit Door.
- Plank Event: Located along the gap between the entrance to the room next to the exit.
- x2 Cobwebs: Nearby red door and stairs.
- Green Lock Door: On the room beside the middle of the map on the ground floor.
- Orange Lock Door: Right beside the Player spawn.
- Purple Safe: In the Swinging Axe room, behind the Plank gap. It holds the White Key to unlock the exit.
- x2 Red Lock Doors: To get to the stairs area with the Yellow Safe, access a hallway downstairs near the stairs, or from the player spawn room.
- Yellow Safe: Location: On the lowest level of the stairs in the lab area of the map.
- Wheel Shape Puzzle: Next to Exit Door.
- Large Rock: Inside the Cobwebs.
- Near the Shovel room and next to the bench in the spider web area.
- On a wall in the Orange Key room.
- In the Player spawn room, next to a counter.
- On the Purple Safe in the Shovel room.
- In the Piggy spawn room, next to the bench on the ground.
- Behind the bench next to the exit.
Only one blueprint spawns on the map each round, it will be found at one of the listed below locations.
- In front of the Purple Safe, across the room unlocked by the shovel.
- In the hallway between the middle of the map and the axe room.
- In the room, it is locked by the Orange Lock Door.
Phenna Quest
For the Phenna skin, you need to play this map and do these steps:
- Complete the map enough to have full access to everywhere.
- Grab the candle and find the question mark next to the purple safe. Light it with the candle.
- Find the first hieroglyphic symbol near one of the spots the other four question marks appear in.
- Go around the map and find the four hidden question marks around the walls of the map and use the candle on them one at a time in the order they appear. These question marks are located in:
- The blue key room
- The hallway leading to the red key room
- The red key room
- The room that leads to the green key room
(NOTE: The question marks are hard to see on high graphics, so it's recommended to do this on low graphics)
- Once you find one, light it up with the candle then look for and memorize the hieroglyphic symbol that appears in one of the rooms the question marks spawn in. (Note that it might not appear in the same room as the question mark since it's random)
- Repeat this process until you finish lighting up the 4 question marks. (The last question mark will make the code pad appear instead of a symbol.)
- Go to the room where Piggy spawns, in front of the vent. Click the symbols in order that you found them. If done correctly, a "cha-ching" sound will be heard, indicating that you’ve obtained the skin.
Leaks
- In the previous chapter, it is hinted that Robby will be accompanying The Safe Place Group and Willow. It also suggested that they will be using the exit to get to the laboratory.
- On July 8th, 2021, MiniToon tweeted emoji hints, which are these four emojis: 🔟: 🗻🏘🎯🎩
- Also, on the same day, MiniToon revealed that the bot of this chapter is female.
- On July 10th, 2021, MiniToon tweeted a quote that says; "We finally meet after all this time... face to face." This quote made many people assume that we might be meeting a new or recurring character.
- On July 14th, 2021, MiniToon tweeted the first leak, which you can see more of Chapter 10.
- On July 18th, 2021, PghLFilms tweeted a hint about the bot, and he said that the pupil color will be white.
- On July 19th, 2021, MiniToon tweeted the second leak of Chapter 10. Together with the image, he also captioned the image with these emojis: 🪓🤝
- On July 20th, 2021, MiniToon tweeted another picture, which was the third leak of Chapter 10.
- On July 23rd, 2021, The fourth and final leak of Chapter 10 was originally leaked on the Official Piggy Discord Server.
- Hours later, MiniToon tweeted the final leak on his Twitter account. He also captioned the image with these emojis:🔥❄️
- Also, on the same day, PghLFilms tweeted another hint about the bot for Chapter 10. The only hint he gave was the letter “S.”

Trivia
- Spidella spawns behind the hallway, where you can find the green or blue key.
- The torches hanging on the walls of the doors locked indicate the color of the door lock. For example, torches with green fires indicates that the door below them requires a green key.
- This map has a relation to Kona's lab as it was mentioned in the ending cutscene of Docks where the Safe Place and Willow will need to check.
- If the first leak is brightened, there can be seen a sentence which says, "THERE FROM THE BEGINNING", in gray letters, above TIO's purple top hat.
- Also, an Insolence Eye can be seen on the purple top hat in the first leak, with or without the image brightened.
- PghLFilms has put secret codes in his videos that hint the bot of Chapter 10. Every code has been solved, and with those words combined together, we have; "It's not Halloween, but.."
- If the second leak is brightened, a hidden word can be seen, which says, "DON'T", in gray letters, in the hallway of the image.
- If the third leak is brightened, a hidden word can be seen, which says, "PRESS", in gray letters, at the left side of the image.
- If the fourth leak is brightened, a hidden word can be seen, which says, "FORWARD", in gray letters, at the right side of the image.
- If we combine the hidden words together, it says; "DON'T PRESS FORWARD”.
- MiniToon first confirmed on one of his tweets, that IK3As helped build and plan with the map.[1]
- He said this is the only map that IK3As built and planned.
- This is the 8th chapter that IK3As is helping MiniToon with and is also the first chapter that IK3As is planning and building.
- MiniToon first said in a tweet that there would be difficult puzzles in Chapter 10 and more chapters in the future, along with announcing that the final leak of Chapter 10 would be revealed the next day.[2]
- Since the badge was released early before the map came out, the name of the chapter was revealed to be called “Temple”.
- This is the first map where the bot places a different type of trap, in this case, a Slow Trap.
- If you translate “...._ /_... .._./..._ .__...__ _.. ._.._.../._.._.__....“, the decoded message would be “4 BF VPŬDLB LYH”.
- The Morse code is upside down, when flipped over and decoded, it's read as "hqf vfuzpb lv 6". When put through a cryptogram, it says "The second is 6."
- This is the first chapter where the player can teleport. However, this is non-canon.
- One day after the chapter was released, MiniToon added a skin quest to obtain Phenna.
- The gas item makes its returning appearance since Outpost, and can be given to Robby to knock out Spidella.
- When you give the gas to Robby, he will only chase the bot and will not chase an infected player. The infected player can still get stunned by Robby, but only when they come into direct contact with him.
- MiniToon said that he was going to build Temple but was exhausted from making chapters 3-9 and asked IK3As to make it.
- 2.2M people own the “Completed Temple” badge as of April 17th, 2025.
