The Malevolent is a community-made skin in Piggy. He was released alongside Doggy (Masked).

Appearance

The Malevolent is a black bear with long strands of hair covering his entire head except the back of it, and a wooden mask covering the front of his face. He wears a dark green jacket over his black shirt, and wears black trousers and black boots. His long hair also extends over his collar, and he wears a long, grassy cape as well. He wields a scythe for his weapon, and due to his connections with TIO, has a singular orange dot eye.

Information

"Going through a very rough life, Malevolent spent every day at his loneliest. An old friend of his was always by his side until a day that would burn into his memory. He and his friend had worked together in a dungeon, but when a mysterious disease spread, Malevolent was betrayed by his friend and left behind to burn away. After awakening, he found himself with newfound powers given to him by an unknown entity, at the cost of his ability to recognize faces. Now, scouring the world, he slaughters everything in sight, determined to one day find that old foe and have his justice."

Animations

Idle

Current

Stands upright with arms straight to the side. Will move head left to right for a brief period of time when idle for long enough.

Old

Slightly sways while standing with his scythe in both hands. Occasionally, he will set the scythe straight upright by his side, holding it only with his right hand.

Walking

Marches forward, using his scythe as a walking stick. His lantern also sways forwards and backwards, in sync with how his left leg moves.

Jumpscare

Grabs the players with his left hand, then quickly slices them with the scythe in his right.

Stunned

Recoils from the hit, and kneels to the ground on his left leg. His head leans downwards and twitches throughout the animation. Afterwards, he gets back up and spins his scythe counterclockwise, finally holding it across with both hands.

Trivia

• The Malevolent is originally from GolDGuy243's fanmade Build Mode series, where the said skin acts as the antagonist.
• He is the second skin with more than one soundtrack, one of his soundtracks can be heard in the showcase video, and the other 2 are yet to be known. The first being Silzous.
  • The Malevolent would have been third, and Marley Russell would have been the second, but due to bugs, the latter only has one soundtrack.
• He is one of the few skins in the game to be a bear, the others being Beary, Pandy, Poley, Ghosty, Pandy (Uniform), and Boris.
  • Coincidentally, he and Boris both have an orange pupil and wears a mask.
• He was the third most expensive skin in the game, behind Silzous and Sparky.
  • This was before he got reanimated. After, his cost was lowered to 550, making him the seventh most expensive skin, tied with Torcher and Kamosi.
• He was the third skin to cost a cost between the numbers 700 and 800. The first being Kraxicorde and the second being Silzous.
  • When reanimated, the skin’s cost was lowered to 550, and players were refunded a small amount of Piggy Tokens. He is the third skin to cost 550 tokens.
• He is the second skin to change prices, the first being Father.
• He is one of the two skins to have their jumpscare camera updated, the other being Percy.
• The Malevolent is the second skin to have rigging in his arms and head but no where else, the first being Spidella. Coincidentally, both of these skins have been reanimated.
• The Malevolent is the second community skin to get a change within the weekend of its release, the first being Wei-Min.
• He is the second skin to be resized without being redesigned, the first being GUESTY.
• He is the third skin to lack a jumpscare sound, the others being Willow and ???.
• He is currently the only skin so far in the game to be reanimated outside of controversy.
• His first theme is similar to the start of a movie soundtrack called “Chasing the Dragon”, a soundtrack from the Johnny Depp movie “From Hell”.
• After killing a player, his second theme “It Lurks” will play. After killing a total of four players, his third theme “Bloodshed” will play.
• He is the first community skin with a kill gimmick, the second being The Psycho.
• He is the third skin to wield a scythe, with the other two being Crove and Vulture.
• In the shop and in the intermission UI, the scythe can be seen floating instead of it being held by The Malevolent.
• One of his emote references is from a viral meme with Metro Man, the deuteragonist of the movie Megamind.

Audio

His first theme is Torment by AstroVXR, his second theme is It Lurks by Titanical and Bliss5642, and his third theme is Blooshed by AstroVXR. Due to Astro not having a YouTube channel, he asked Titanical to upload their music videos on his channel instead.
