The Prototype is a skin in Piggy. They are a secret secondary bot in Mall, located inside of the vault in the Birdy Bank. They were added with and are part of the Keymaster Badge quest, and they are also a prototype version of the Mall Security Protocol Droid. They appear as a Build Mode NPC too.
Appearance[]
The Prototype bears some resemblance to Robby but with several key differences. They are much more wore down, with rust covering their body and various parts missing. They have wheels instead of legs, and do not appear to have any eyes. On top of this, the Prototype lacks the chainsaw that Robby has on their right arm, and instead has normal hands.

Stands still with their head and hands twitching rapidly. Occasionally extends arms outwards and curls their fingers.

Trivia[]
- The Prototype was made by Kona, during his time in the Protection Services Through Mechanics & Machines. It is a prototype model of the Mall Security Protocol Droid.
- When it first released, equipping the skin as the bot in Build Mode would result in the game breaking, being frozen in the “Piggy has woken up!” message and Piggy not being able to spawn, as it did not exist yet in Build Mode despite creating a new server. This was fixed two hours later.
- Blatt had the same issue with Book 2 for a few hours after their release.
- Likewise, you couldn't be infected by infect blocks if you have the skin equipped.
- This also resulted in the player being replaced with a bot when they were selected as Piggy, and the selected player would have a stuck camera angle based on where they were before the game started.
- Using Roblox emotes with the skin equipped will make it stand in place and have no idle animation.
- They currently have the longest soundtrack in the game lasting for an unbelievable 20:45, surpassing both Katie’s soundtrack which lasts for 6:58 and Gold Piggy’s old soundtrack which lasts for 7:52.
- Due to this, it is impossible to hear this soundtrack in one single round, and can only be heard fully in build mode maps without a time limit.
- Despite not being involved with any holiday, season, or crossover event; they still count as an extra skin.
- This also applies to Phenna, Sentinel, Laura, Fergus, Marley Russell, Glenn, Ombra, Shardantus and Jakayla.
- The Prototype has resemblance to Robby and Duocara. while the model of The Prototype's head is pig-like, they have the arms and lower half of Duocara.
- Along with this, The Prototype seems to mimic Duocara's driving animation and sound, and Robby's soundtrack and jumpscare sound.
- Additionally, the sound of them powering up is the same sound Duocara makes when shifting their face.
- Along with this, The Prototype seems to mimic Duocara's driving animation and sound, and Robby's soundtrack and jumpscare sound.
- The bot version of The Prototype has entirely different animations.
- Along with this, on their rolling animation, their wheels don't rotate at all.
- The Prototype is one of two skins to not have legs and instead roll around on wheels, the other being Duocara.
- They are the third robot skin, the first being Robby and the second being Duocara.
- Out of all these skins, The Prototype is the only one who isn't a main bot of a chapter.
- This skin, along with Kolie, Blatt, and Billy's old design all have a bug where they have to kill a player before their theme plays.
- The 6/16/24 update fixed this bug for these skins in Build Mode, but not in the rest of the game.
- They have one of the quietest themes in the game.
- They were added as a Build Mode NPC a few hours after their release as a skin.
- They have a bug in Build Mode where any chasing hands will ignore all other players and instead try to grab them, even if they are out of the chasing hand's range.
- The Prototype's theme is a slowed down version of Robby's theme.

Sound Origins[]
- Their soundtrack is an audio from the Roblox Library called Robot, but slowed down by 0.2 and extremely lower pitched.
- Their footstep/driving sound is an audio from the Roblox Library called Engine Sound Loop 5, but sped up.
- The sound of them powering up is an audio from the Roblox Library called Ratchet Wrench Gear Winding 2 (SFX), but with reverb.
- Their jumpscare sound is a sound from Freesound called screech.wav by Chesshunter, but sped up and higher pitched. It can be found here in the Roblox Library.
- The sound is also famous for being used as Four's screech from Battle For B.F.D.I./Battle for B.F.B.
