History[]
Willow, along with Pandy and Katie, are on a supply run at Kirby's Comic Shop. They search the store, hoping to find items they can trade with other survivor groups. Katie and Pandy take some Mashupmon cards, which Willow remarks are childish things. Willow then finds a holographic copy of a comic book she's liked since she was a kid. When Pandy asks her what it is, Willow remembers being teased for liking comics. She tells Pandy that it looked interesting, and would likely get them good supplies as a trading item. As they gather their haul, a swarm of infected find the group. They escape through a back door. Once outside, they hear a tapping noise, which is revealed to be Piggy.
Willow tells the others to split up, and runs off with Piggy trailing behind her. She runs to Pine Forest Middle School and starts to think about her time at the school years ago. Unfortunately for her, Piggy catches up to her and hits her over the head with her bat. Willow falls onto the other side of the fence, losing consciousness as a figure approaches her.
While unconscious, Willow remembers more about her time in middle school, particularly when she was picked on by Goldie. Willow eventually wakes up inside of the school's office. She finds the figure is there, talking to themself about Mashupmon cards. Willow turns on the lights, which catches the figure off guard. The figure introduces themself as Cami, who says she's glad that Willow was doing alright, as she had been out for a whole day. Willow attempts to leave the office, but Cami stops her, saying it's dangerous outside. Willow tells Cami that she'll be fine, and even mentions that she should come with, as she'd be safer with her group. She eventually persuades Cami with the promise of Mashupmon cards.
The two make their way to the playground where they are shot at by multiple kindergarteners using pencils as arrows. The two come up with a plan to capture one of the kindergarteners to get the others to let them inside of their fort. Once they successfully capture one, they're allowed in to meet the Queen of Kindergarteners. Cami requests that the two have access into the cafeteria. The Queen initially refuses, but lets them through when Cami offers her a charged tablet and the kindergartener they captured.
The two pass through the door towards the cafeteria when they are greeted by a figure. The figure, Dalton, takes them into the cafeteria. Willow pieces together that he is likely the son of the principal from when she attended the school years ago. Dalton goes on to explain the rules of the room, where everything is decided through Mashupmon card battling. The winner gets what they want, and the loser is taken into the gym to face the dodgeball team. The two tell Dalton this is wrong, and he orders Willow to be taken into the gym. Cami stops him and challenges him to a Mashupmon battle for the two's freedom, which he accepts. When Cami is victorious, the two escape the cafeteria and go into the forest.
Once in the forest, the two set up a shelter for the night. Willow apologizes to Cami for making fun of her card game earlier, saying she did it because she was teased at Cami's age for liking comic books. Willow tells her to not let bullies like Dalton get to her. The two eventually settle in for the night, falling asleep.
Willow is soon awoken by a tapping sound, knowing that meant Piggy was nearby. She wakes up Cami and tells her to run and find her group, The Silver Paw. She stays behind to fight Piggy as Cami runs away. She later notices Cami shining lights and making noise to try and distract the infected. She tries to get her to stop, but falls and twists her foot. The injury doesn't stop her, and she continues to try and make her way toward Cami. When Piggy corners Cami at the edge of a cliff, Willow stops her. Together, she and Cami manage to stun Piggy by shining light on the reflective comic book Willow had. She takes the opportunity to push Piggy off of the cliff into the forest below.
That morning, Cami treats Willow's injury. The two hear a rustling in the bushes which turns out to be Katie and Pandy, who are glad to see their boss is safe. The two mention they found that comic Willow mentioned earlier, and she becomes a little embarrassed. Katie and Pandy assure her there's nothing wrong about liking comics. Cami then takes the Silver Paw members to her hideout, where she attempts to teach Willow how to play Mashupmon. Cami comments that Willow is better at fighting real monsters. Willow says that it takes all types to make a team, and that she's sure they can get through anything together.
Trivia[]
- In Desert Nightmare, Willow's phrase "A totally tricked-out motorcycle with a sidecar for my number one partner in crime!" might be a reference to her criminal past in the game.
